Yesterday I called my pharmacy, and they me that they cannot get the antibiotic my doctor prescribed. There has been a run on it, because of the flu epidemic, and the wholesalers are sold out. They said that, if my doctor called in a different prescription, they could not mail it before today, so I would not receive it until Tuesday. I felt very angry and told them off like Republicans. I understood that they cannot get the drug. I could not understand that they sat on it since Monday without letting me know. I called my doctor, and she found a pharmacy that could mail me a different antibiotic yesterday, so I will have it today. I’m current with replies. ARGH!

The new proposal, which came out of closed-door party negotiations at a retreat in Williamsburg, Va., seemed to significantly reduce the threat of a default by the federal government in coming weeks.
Republicans seem to be learning that the days of Obama caving-in to their most absurd demands are over, but not quickly enough to keep them from looking like the cowardly fools they are. Today’s cartoon is Cantor making the announcement.

It’s utterly unconscionable for a pharmacy not to inform a patient of their inability to fill a prescription.
And if they did not have your contact info, then at least inform the prescribing physician of their inability to perform their duty.
I’d be livid to the point of reporting them – that surely must violate a code of ethics.
I fully agree, Nameless. Nevertheless, I'm going to give Wellpartner a second chance for two reasons. First, they have given me three years of flawless service until this happened. Second, they made no attempt to evade or minimize their own culpability.

MoveOn — When I read "Complains that government is wasteful and ineffective" and saw Boehner pontificating at a podium, my first reaction was, "Yup, then why is the defense of DOMA up to $3 Million?" Talk about waste! Then I kept reading. Do I recall correctly from some time back that it costs $48 million per day to run the Congress? How long does it take to run one vote? Multiply that by 33 times that the repeal of Obamacare has come up. (Guano Girl delinked for the most recent one!) Talk about government waste! And I have said it many times before, to get rid of the biggest part of government waste and inefficiency, refuse to pay the Republican/Teabagger legislators. For them, this the golden trough — a golden elephant trough!
NY Times — To me, all this is political theatre — just delaying a decision, nothing more. While it may alay market fears of an imminent government shutdown, it does nothing to solve the problem. From Mr Obama's point of not negotiating over the debt ceiling, it does exactly that — negotiates by tying the debt ceiling to a passable budget. I agree a budget is needed, but I don't think this is the way to go.
The government doesn't have a spending problem as much as it has a political problem. Further, this ignores "depression economics" as outlined previously by Paul Krugman. Smart government spending to stimulate growth in the economy. Mr Obama, don't lose your balls now.
MSNBC —- What the hell is Reid thinking? McConnell negotiate? That's an oxymoron! Republican/Teabaggers can't be trusted. Period. And as said before, McConnell is up for re-election in 2014 so he has no problem protecting his re-election by lying to Reid! Harry Reid, grow a pair of big brass balls. Do NOT cave to Republican/Teabagger obstruction!

MoveOn ~ His 30 wasteful votes are a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of time they spend away from D.C. governing andusing the time in their home districts fund raising instead. There are not that very many town hall meetings being held by RepublicanT representatives.
Did you know that the RepulicanTs were instructed to spend at least 30 hours a week while in D.C. phoning potential donors during their "retrea" in Williamsburg, VA?

Poor TomCat!!! How criminally negligent for the pharmacy to have sat on your prescription without being able to fulfill it OR bother to let you know!!! I am very glad you told them off – and I hope you get really good antibiotics and that they start to work promptly!
