Projection is a tactic in which someone diverts attention from their own faults, by accusing an opponent of having those same faults, even if they do not. It has long been a standard Republican tactic. So it’s little wonder that Republicans, who specialize in election fraud, accuse Democrats of that which they are guilty themselves.
Florida elections officials said Friday that at least 10 counties have identified suspicious and possibly fraudulent voter registration forms turned in by a firm working for the Republican Party of Florida, which has filed an election fraud complaint with the state Division of Elections against its one-time consultant.
The controversy in Florida — which began with possibly fraudulent forms that first cropped up in Palm Beach County – has engulfed the Republican National Committee, which admitted Thursday that it urged state parties in seven swing states to hire the firm, Strategic Allied Consulting. The RNC paid the company at least $3.1 million — routed through the state parties of Florida, Nevada, Colorado, North Carolina and Virginia — to register voters and run get-out-the-vote operations. Wisconsin and Ohio had not yet paid the firm for get-out-the-vote operations it was contracted to do.
The RNC severed its ties to the firm Thursday after questions arose about the work Strategic Allied did in Palm Beach County, where election officials have turned over to prosecutors 106 voter registration forms submitted by one worker, some of which contained apparent forgeries and other problems.
Now elections officials across Florida are scrutinizing voter registration forms turned in to their counties on behalf of the state Republican Party. The state elections division is also investigating.
Florida GOP officials – who said they hired Strategic Allied at the request of the RNC – alleged in their complaint Thursday that the firm turned in forms with fake signatures and false information, said Chris Cate, spokesman for the Division of Elections, which will turn over its findings to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement… [emphasis added]

When Republicans claim voter fraud, their claims have been disproven, without exception. When voter fraud actually does occur, however rarely, Republicans are the culprits. But Republican election fraud is not limited to mere voter fraud. Beware intimidation, and if anyone tries to use harassment tactics to keep you from voting, report them to the FBI.
Several days ago I posted notices in my building asking people, who need help registering to vote, to contact me. Yesterday I helped six register. Two had state IDs, so I just put them on the website and helped them with the online form. Four did not so I printed out the paper forms, helped them fill them out, made sure they had the required (Oregon) documentation to attach: a paycheck stub, a utility bill, a bank statement, or any government document. I put their information into my own envelopes, put my own stamps on them, and gave them to them to mail. During the discussion, it came out that five of them intended to vote for Obama, and one, for Romney. The idea of not helping the Republican did not even occur to me. Making sure voters have an opportunity to vote does not and must never depend on party. Ironically, the Republican I had just helped accused me of voter fraud. He said that to be fair, I should only have helped one of the Democrats. I told him I just helped everyone who asked. Sadly, the Republican party does not see it that way.
Rachel Maddow reported on another example of Republican election fraud.

And that’s not all. In districts where Republicans control electronic voting machines that leave no paper trail, actual vote tallies have differed from exit polling by 3 – 5%, always in favor of the Republican. My own research verified this in 2004, 2006 and 2008.
When I post my weekly election projection, there will be many reasons to smile. But remember, Republicans have more ways to steal an election than dogs have fleas. Your vote is too important to throw away.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
I swear (yes, I do that a lot these days) that any seemingly normal person still for the Republicans anywhere is brain damaged. This election cannot come soon enough for me.
I so hear that, Marva!
Thank you, TC. You are a good man. I get to vote Monday. Cannot wait. Several of family already voted. Those that do not vote should not bitch.
Thanks Gypsy.
Those who do not vote deserve to live in a Republican Reich!
An alleged "Bonus" for voting early:
You're supposed to get fewer soliciting phone calls because (given the Obama's team excellent ground game) they know you've gone to the Polls.
So they're not going to waste time/effort/money calling someone who's already voted.
That's good news! I haven't had an Obama call yet. I had two from Republicans, and I politely asked questions until they hung up on me. 🙂
My question is why 2 prominent Republicans are known for a fact to have committed voter fraud and are still not in prison. They would be Ann Coulter who used her realtor's address as her own, and Mitt Romney who, despite legally living in California used his son's unfinished basement in Massachusetts as his address.
Mitt to prison NOW!
Welcome Robert. 🙂
While what you say is just, I'm not holding my breath.
I refuse to put in more hours to work for a party that I fundamentally disagree with, just as IQW do with the Repugs. The fact that our NDAA is in the courts – being upheld by a dictator, the drone warfare that is deployed without regard to civilians, the OWS movement being manipulated and over-militarized by both the NYPD and Feds – HS – is an infringement on our 1st Amendment rights (as well as reasonable protesting), Assange and Manning are being prosecuted unreasonably by our Gov't. for their "co-conspiracy" in bringing forth journalism as we should expect it! – Literally no semblance of work done on the investigation of Wall St – (who's ass is being greased?) – and an energy policy that includes natural gas and fracking putting – NYC and the country and its water and air resources at risk is intolerable!
Once again I feel betrayed by both parties, and of course there is the "better" choice! I'll vote for Dems down the line for reps. and sens, but will not vote for Obama, since I live in a state where my vote will not count – it'll automatically go for the big "O" – I will work for another party full steam once Nov is over – I'll be voting for Dr Stein of the Green Party this year – I don't advise it for anyone who lives in a questionable state, it cannot be risked this year, but both parties are definitely controlled by the Plutocracy that governs the nation at this point, we must get Citizens United overturned and the 2nd Amendment needs to be re-written to bring about a reasonable reduction to the slaughter that happens by gun owners every year in this country – we also need to bring about a resolution that all ALL people are created equal (another rewriting of the Constitution) to include and disregard previously biased and shameful writings that would infer that any race, religion or person would be deemed less than 100% a "person"!
I'll vote "Green" for pres this year, and sorry, I won't work one minute for the damnocratic party, any more than I will the repugnants!
The 2 pary system doesn't work and is antagonistic to "democracy"! IMHO
w
Lee, not all of what you said is beyond reason, but equating the two parties is absurd.
And they wonder why voter turnout is often low? With intimidation tactics right at the polls, that would be enough too turn many off. People should also be encouraged to take sufficient ID when they vote.
These are examples of just why election regulations need to be rewritten. I certainly feel that all federal elections should have the same rules and laws, otherwise it puts some voters at a disadvantage. There should be no voting machines controlled by a political party and they should all be the same kind across the country. What individual states choose to do for state and local elections is their own business, but federal elections should come under a common law.
Get out the vote!!!!! Four more years!!!!!
Vote Democratic 2012!!!!! Vote Obama/Biden 2012!!!!!
Indeed. Oregon's vote by mail system should be a national model.
Good job helping people to register to vote. I did it one year and it just feels good.
No surprise about the Greedy Old Pharts and their fraud. I must admit that I laughed when I heard it on the news. How typical of them.
Thanks Patty!
Too true!
Well who could have guessed that the Fraud is actually via the Republican Party… 🙂
Me!
Did voter registration work- eons ago– very satisfying too be able to help others—
IMHO—-The only wasted vote is the one not cast! Voting is a privilege people died for– real people—!
I have little patience with people who say things that really mean- ' everything isnt going my way so I just will stay home and sulk— '
I am an older lady– I first voted 54 years ago– have not missed a vote since— even if I did not like my choices–
Voting is too much of a privilege-It has been less than 100 years ago that women first won the right to vote—and women dare say — I don't wanna–! ? I knew women who were among the first to cast a ballot–my Grandmother was past 50 when she had the privilege!
Anyone who says to me – I dont wanna" because I don't like the choices– well sorry– No sympathy here–
The more the spotlight is on the manipulations -the better– Dirty work is done in the dark– so let that spotlight shine-
So VOTE Dammit- OR shut your mouth!!- – And I do mean that– Give up the right to vote ; Lose your right to complain-
Get off your ass and VOTE ; help others vote to the best of your ability– but for God's sake stop whining !!
Amen Phyllis!
