3 AM: the Middle East in Crisis

It’s 3 AM, when the phone rings in the oval office.  Open conflict has broken out between Israeli and Palestinian forces in both the West Bank and Gaza.  Claiming that Iran is supplying the Palestinians with weapons and logistical support, Israel is about to launch a strike against Iran and has their nuclear arsenal at the ready.  What will President Willard Romney do to defuse the crisis?  The phone in the oval office keeps ringing.  There’s nobody home.

19RomneyWarMongerNo one has ever had any illusions about where Mitt Romney stands on the two hottest disputes in the Middle East: the argument over the creation of a Palestinian state, and the debate over what can be done to assure that Iran does not get a nuclear weapon.

In both cases, he has taken positions very close to those of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, his friend from their days together as young consultants here in Boston.

But if he is elected president in November and finds himself in negotiations over a future Palestine on Israel’s borders, Mr. Romney may find that his comment at a campaign fund-raiser — captured on video — that “there’s just no way” a separate state can be workable could undermine his effectiveness in bringing the two sides together. And any dealings with the mullahs of Iran may not be facilitated by his description of them, in the same video, as “crazy people.”… [emphasis added]

Publically, Willard’s stances on there issues, have been those of a Neocon war monger.  But privately, to his 1% buddies, he is a wimp.  Rather than engage the issues, he would kick the can down the road and hope for the best.  Ed Schultz discussed Romney and the Middle East with Richard Wolfe.

The difference between Romney’s public war mongering and his private passive incompetence demonstrate that he is totally unprepared for world affairs.  But his public and private stances do have two things in common.  Both are wrong, and both are dangerous!

  1. If nothing else that  video clearly defines Mutt as a spineless, arrogant, two/faced lying sack of  bull excrement- In addition he is a draft  evading war monger-
He is not fit to wipe the boots of any  solder who  mutt disdainfully ignores—

As I understand it, Willard avoided Vietnam just like Dubya Bush and Dick Cheney… No more Chicken Hawk – Chicken $hits please…

  3. They should start making documentaries of these Willard tapes: "Alienation I", II and can't wait for the sequel. He appears to be more "Sarah-like" every time he opens his mouth. His quick but incoherent response to Libya, his insult to England and China – he has the diplomatic skills of an Ahmadinejad – as for Bibi – I'm glad our President snubbed that one as he came here to advance the Rmoney campaign and advance his preemptive war strategy against Iran – we can do without that sort of manipulation! Willard will always go the route of what brings in the most bucks, regardless of morals – it's his character, if the military brings in the most – we'll have as many wars as possible, if it's off-shoring and stripping the jobs from the citizens that is his policy – he is not an admirable man! Pretty disturbing thought that he is campaigning at all!

  4. If Rmoney is too scared to go on "The View" and "Saturday Night Live" because they are "high risk" – how can anyone expect him to stand up to Israel's Bibi or Russia's Putin or Syria's Bashar Al- Assad or …

Bottom Line: Can't Run a Campaign, Sure As HELL Can't Run a Country!

  5. Jimmy Carter has been lampooned by this campaign as the worst president ever, yet he got Egypt and Israel to meet.  He never mentioned kicking a ball down the road.

  6. 3 a.m. : the Middle East in Crisis — the phone rings 4 times and then a voice "You have reached the White House in Washington, DC.  We're not home now so please leave a message and we'll get back to you when we can.  For future reference, business hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday."

Rmoney reminds me of Beetlejuice — his head keeps going around and around as he talks out of all sides of his head.  It's not even 3 a.m. and his is still incoherent!

“America could be held up and blackmailed by Iran, by the mullahs, by crazy people,” he said. “So we really don’t have any option but to keep Iran from having a nuclear weapon.” — And who keeps Rmoney away from US nuclear weapons   "the red button"?  He is just as loose a cannon as Ahmadinejad!

A stalking tiger publicly and a paper tiger privately — which is the real Rmoney?  At best, I don't think Rmoney knows himself, and that is dangerous.  At its worst, Rmoney is grabbing for political gain from wherever he can get it, without thought for the implications.  Rmoney is so totally incompetent . . . his incompetence is beyond words!

    Get out the vote!!!!!

    Vote Democratic 2012!!!!!     Vote Obama/Biden 2012!!!!!

  7. Rmoney is too scared to go on The View because those women are so aggressive but he wouldn't be too scared to send our young men and women overseas to fight another senseless war. Look at his verbal responses to every situation that has arisen since he first started running for President about 12 years ago. He blusters that we should be tough and retaliate immediately. He has not once taken the time to think things out rationally before he opens his big yap and spews nonsense.

Is he even capable of rational thought?
