Yesterday I spent most of the day meditating on the Ellipsoid Orb, and I was blessed. I have prep work to do today for tomorrow’s meeting, but I’m current with replies. Tomorrow is a prison volunteer day. I will probably be able to post before I go, but I’m likely to be wiped out the next day.

Republicans believe that they are a pussy posse, and that the dogma of their War on Women supersedes this basic truth, and allows them to impose their own beliefs in violation of the First Amendment. Vote them wrong!
From NY Times: The Obama campaign said on Twitter that 98 percent of donations in August were for $250 or less. The Republican effort raised about $34.6 million in donations of less than $250, the campaign said, about a third of the total — a better showing with small donors than Mr. Romney has had in the past.
And the 99% out-contributed the billionaires in August!
From The Hill: A clear majority – 61 percent – of likely voters consider the presidential election to be more of a choice between President Obama and Mitt Romney than a referendum on the president’s first term in office, according to a new poll for The Hill.
Just over one-third — 34 percent — of voters said they considered the election to be a judgment on Obama’s job performance in the White House.
That’s exactly what I want to hear!

3:42 Will Patty or Lynn get tangled in the vines?
3:49 Not tangled in these vines. But had they been the vines of a certain fruit, it would have been the grapes of wrath!
3:50 We were all in quite a close bunch stomping those vines. Jerry, you tangled us all up.
Go Jerry!
Good for you! You got the first win of the season.
This is my body! It does not belong some sick grumpy old white man!
The donations to re-elect Obama/Biden reflect the morals of our country. It does my heart good.
Our side beat the bad guys last month too!
The choice between Obama and Romney should be crystal clear for all.
TV dinners used to be a treat for us every once in a while.
Woooo Hooo!!
Yes!
Indeed!
Amen!
Not to me. :0(
I remember Swanson's TV Dinners as a kid. We thought they were a special treat because we got to eat them off those folding trays in front of the TV. (And our palates were clearly undeveloped.)
I do too, but I thought munching on the cardboard bos was tastier.
Puzzle — 3:49 Climbing vines. But had they been the vines of a certain fruit, it would have been the grapes of wrath!
MoveOn — An excellent video. TC, love your term 'pussy posse'! As I was watching, I wondered about the constitutionality of what is being done to women's rights as far as their bodies are concerned. I'm no lawyer and I'm not even an American, but when I read the 4th amendment, particularly the first phrase "The right of the people to be secure in their persons…", the Republican/Teabagger actions seem to fly in the face of this. The rights of women to be secure in their bodies seem to be eroded by draconian laws that call for forced vaginal ultrasounds, would not allow contraception, don't allow abortion etc. While the architects of the Constitution might not have had these things in mind while crafting the amendment, to me it is not a big stretch to look at it this way. Likewise, the 1st amendment calls for freedom of religion, yet in the US, it appears to be religion that is the catalyst for this war on women. And here is a small tidbit about abortion and contraception in South Africa from Wikipedia:
All these draconian laws will foster the regrowth of the back alley abortion industry which will put the lives of women in danger. Additionally, to put a 'greed' spin on it, the costs of abortions will go into an underground economy not subject to taxation. And women with complications, will end up in hospital emergency wards.
Reward Republican/Teabaggers with a ticket to ride out of Congress and out of state Assemblies at the next possible point in time — 06/11/2012 is a good starting point.
New York Times — So you do the math — the DNC brought in $111,720,000 in donations of $250 or less which represents 446, 880 donors at $250 each. The RNC raised $34,600,000 in donations of $250 or less which represents 138,400 donors. Further, while the DNC small donations represent 98% of the total $114,000,000 for August, the RNC small donations represent a paltry 31%. Not only did the DNC out do the RNC $114 million to $111.6 million, these figures clearly show where the base is. The RNC, which we already knew, is invested heavily in the 1% and corporations.
The Hill — Smart 61% who actually think. To base a vote on the president's job performance when he started in the red courtesy of Baby Bush, and he met with obstruction all the way from the Republican/Teabagger dominated Congress is absolutely ridiculous! By far, the best platform, while not perfect for all, is the Democratic platform. The Republican/Teabaggers don't care a lick about the 99% and look like they are doing some damage control by spinning more distortions.
Cartoon — In 1953 I was too young to know about TV dinners, but in the early 1960's I was fascinated by them. That was until I actually ate one! Certainly the arrival of the microwave oven has revolutionised meal preparation like the TV dinner did in 1953.
Good time!
I agree. Some have thought my term Pussy Posse offensive, thinking me disrespectful of women, when my intent is to demonstrate how disrespectful Republicans are.
Good math!
Fully agree.
LOL!
'Pussy Posse' offensive? Not in the least to me. My immediate thoughts were of the lame-assed Republican/Teabaggers. A posse is a group that goes to round up 'criminals', in this case women who dare to want control of their own bodies. It fits with the Republican/Teabaggers' war on women, and is not a name they should be proud of!
You understood exactly what I meant, but some didn't!
Powerful video from Move-ON. I do not understand how any woman in this country could vote Republican!
Only ignorant brainwashed ones!
