Yesterday, I slept most of the day on and off, leaving me quite groggy this morning. This is today’s only article, as I have to leave for an ultrasound on my bad leg. I’m not current with replies, but will cat65ch up soon. Barring unforeseen circumstances, I’ll be blogging normally tomorrow.

From MoveOn: 10 Things The Romney Campaign Doesn’t Want You To Know About Paul Ryan
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
From NY Times: The party that claims to have all the answers on Medicare seemed to have no interest in sharing them with the American people at its convention on Wednesday. The session, devoted to the theme of “We Can Change It,” never went any deeper than that slogan or a few others: Reform Medicare. Strengthen Medicare. Protect Medicare.
All without the slightest hint of how that supposed reform or strengthening would take place, regarding that program and many others. “We will not duck the tough issues; we will lead,” said Representative Paul Ryan, in his speech accepting the vice-presidential nomination. “We will not spend four years blaming others; we will take responsibility.”
Sounds great, except that the speech ducked the tough issues and blamed others for the problems.
Also consider this.
Never have I seen a more dishonest political speech!

Comparing his successor to him is enough to make a person throw up.

4:28 Even a turtle is going to beat me today.
4:22 I just couldn't get a line on this one! But as per the tale of the tortoise and the hare, steady gets it done!
Looks like one for me?
Puzzle — 4:22 I just couldn't get a line on this one! But as per the tale of the tortoise and the hare, steady gets it done!
MoveOn — Excellent list! #11 He lies. #12 He uses people, even his own mother, for political gain.
NY Times — “We will not duck the tough issues; we will lead,” said Representative Paul Ryan. "…we will take responsibility.” So Ryan, some questions for you!
Where will you lead the American people?
How will you lead them?
How will you take responsibility when you frequently and unabashedly lie about Mr Obama?
Give us the details, not vague words. We are not stupid like you think.
Interesting that even Wolf Blitzer and the talking head from Faux Noise were panning his lies and negativity in his speech. Hey, when your own propaganda wing goes against you, do you think it might be time to reassess your tactics?
Upworthy — I love the line at the end: Full Frontal Freedom!
BTW, my eye candy has a really hairy chest (and body)! Not much on talking though, but singing? … purrs up a storm in two part harmony!
Cartoon — I remember a while back, Thurgood Marshall was the topic of a cartoon. If I recall correctly, wasn't he succeeded by Injustice Clarence Thomas?
I could see the patterns in it for unknown reasons.
The answer is NOT!
True!
Me too!
Purrrfect candy!
you recall correctly… unfortunately.
Slow and steady like the tortoise wasn't good enough to beat me this AM>
Your time?
I'm sorry I was 3:19 Iwasn't sure if it was 18 secs or 19 so I did it again and got 3:19.
Good job!!
About Ryan being wrong, Fact Check called the entire convention a "pants on fire" party.
Thanks for giving the ladies a little eye-candy today. Completely accurate too!
Kudos to Lynn for finding it and sharing it with us.
And they underestimated!
YVW! 🙂
Kudos!
Paul Ryan (I call him Paul RUIN because his economic ideas would ruin our economy if put into practice) is as big and despicable a liar as Romney is!
Maybe even worse!
