It’s time for Portlanders to vote for mayor. Historically I have almost never voted for political candidates. Sadly the choice has almost always been about whom to vote against. Therefore I am thoroughly delighted to announce my support for Eileen Brady, because she has all the qualities I need in a candidate FOR whom to vote.
With a week left until ballots are cast, there’s lots happening in the race for Mayor of Portland.
Brady ad
Earlier this week, Eileen Brady’s campaign released its fourth ad of the campaign – this one on health care…
…Brady endorsement
The Portland Tribune endorsed Eileen Brady yesterday in glowing terms, saying she had "risen to the top" of the field, that "she can bring the right mix of skills to the job", and that she had built "a coalition that includes business, community activists, environmentalists and many others"… [emphasis original]

Isnt it a relief to actually support someone ?
Indeed it is!
I take it then that Brady is the Democrat or Democrat-esque candidate along with the 2 gentlemen and the winner will square off against a Republican of some sort. Certainly her bio looks very good. Nice when you can find someone you can support rather the lesser of two evils.
The Portland Mayoral race is non-partisan, so none of the three leading candidates is a real goose stepper.
Thanks TomCat – hope Eileen Brady wins!
Thanks Pat.
It’s very good that you have a viable candidate.
Thanks Patty.
