Yesterday I spent observing the holy day of the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb, and I did some housework.  I’m current with replies.  Tomorrow I have an appointment that will keep me busy most of the day.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today it took me 4:44 (average 6:01).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From LA Times: Top congressional Republicans on Sunday accused President Obama of trying to incite class warfare with his proposal for a new tax on millionaires and said they would not support the measure because it would hurt economic growth.

Sure it’s class warfare, and our class has been the one under attack.

From News Hounds: Since the dawn of affirmative action, the right wing has been whining about how these policies are discriminatory to more deserving whites. Given that Fox "News" loves to promote the meme of victimized conservatives and that Fox’s Bill O’Reilly is a proponent of the white, male power structure, it came as no surprise that he would use part of his Fox show to promote a study by a right wing group with the misleading title of "Center for Equal Opportunity." Not surprisingly, the study says that the University of Wisconsin’s admission policies hurt those nice white people while advantaging those nasty blacks and Hispanics. And not surprisingly, the head of this very small right wing think tank is Fox contributor and long time GOP functionary, Linda Chavez whom Bush nominated for Secretary of Labor but whose nomination got deep sixed after she admitted that she knowingly employed of those "illegals" that Fox News loves to hate.

Bill O’Lielly is a racist pig.  That’s why Republicans love him.

From Think Progress: Rather than take a moment to condemn GOP debate audiences that cheered for executions and to leave a man to die, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said he didn’t have “any particular reaction.” When host David Gregory asked McConnell on Meet The Press if the cheers troubled him as a Republican, McConnell deferred, saying there would be lots of debates and audience reactions during the campaign.

To get a concerned reaction from Bought Bitch Mitch, cut off his bribes.

  1. Mitch McConnell = numb nuts

  2. 5:24

Mitch McConnell was a joke on Meet the Press yesterday. When he answered that question from David Gregory, he tried not to giggle.

Maybe that hearse in your cartoon could be the GOParty of No’s new limo…

  3. Executions … Deaths … Hearses.  Maybe this kind of ties it all together:

  4. Not only Texas should execute corporations. ALL states should, and then redistribute their earnings across the entire economic spectrum.

  5. 6:48  One of my worst times.  It should rate as two losses…but it won’t.  I am (81 out of 262 (309).

  6. Class warfare — That’s rich (no pun intended) the GOP accusing the President of inciting a class war.  Me thinks they took too many blows to the head!  The Republicans are the ones to instigate a class war with their SS and medicare proposals; their support for lower taxes on the rich and corporations; blah, blah, blah ad GOP nauseum.  The GOP are the ones hurting economic growth.

From the LA Times, Buffet’s “. . .federal tax rate was 17.4% because of various tax breaks for investment managers, such as those on capital gains.  The average rate for the other 20 people in his office was 36%.
“If you make money with money, as some of my super-rich friends do, your percentage may be a bit lower than mine,” wrote Buffett, chief executive of Berkshire Hathaway.  “But if you earn money from a job, your percentage will surely exceed mine — most likely by a lot.”

There has to be statistical data out there that shows the average income for all Ohio taxpayers; the number making over $100K and the average; the number making over $1M and the average.  Then take a look at the tax rates.  Get that out to Boehner’s consituents and I’ll bet there will be some really pissed off puppies!

Bill O’Reilly — Now I wonder how O’Reilly feels about a wing-nut think tank headed up by a woman, and an Hispanic woman to boot?  Bet that has his knickers in a twist!

Mitch McConnell — “To get a concerned reaction from Bought Bitch Mitch, cut off his bribes.” or something else that will hurt just as much.  Oh, wait, he probably doesn’t have any.  No, he must because he has the temerity to speak and vote against the American people.

Puzzle — as usual I suck time wise.  But I chose another one called ‘cat walk’ and did it in less than the average.  Hurray!!!  Must be a cat thing!

Cartoon — love it!  Even better would be a whole line of them stuffed to the rafters with the most vile GOP leaders.  I’m feeling testy today because of the Troy Davis situation.

Please keep Troy Davis in your thoughts and prayers as we try to get the death warrant withdrawn.  It ain’t over til the fat lady sings and I’m not singing yet!

    • Amen!

      Thanks for the details!

I’m amazed they voted him in.

Yup.  I nailed him in an article about to go up.

Very small ones, to go with his brain.

      Keep trying!

      Thanks!
