Yesterday I got some blog work done and got some much needed sleep.  I’m current on replies.  Today I’ll be busy collecting all the info needed for tomorrow’s monthly report.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today it took me 3:57 (average 5:02).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From Think Progress: Minnesota’s Campaign Finance Board ruled today that both sides of the campaign surrounding the state’s 2012 constitutional amendment prohibiting same-sex marriage must disclose the sources of their corporate donations. The National Organization of Marriage (NOM) and the Minnesota Family Council (MFC) unsuccessfully argued against the outcome, alleging their donors could suffer intimidation at the hands of “homosexual activists”.

Let’s hope SCROTUS doesn’t get hold of this.

From TPM: A federal judge denied Boeing’s motion to dismiss a National Labor Relations Board lawsuit that charged the aerospace giant with unfairly penalizing Washington workers’ collective bargaining rights by moving a new production line to South Carolina.

Administrative Law Judge Clifford Anderson is allowing the case against Boeing to proceed to trial. The NLRB charged Boeing executives with retaliating against union workers in Washington state for striking by opening up the South Carolina factory.

Great news for labor.

From Right Wing Watch: A few weeks ago Eric Bearse, the spokesperson for Rick Perry’s "The Response" prayer rally, explained that people of all faiths were welcome to participate in the event and "seek out the living Christ."

Organizers have made it abundantly clear that this is an exclusively "Christian prayer meeting" … and according to this email from Allan Parker of The Justice Foundation, who was part of an organizing conference call for the event, it has to be that way because the inclusion of other faiths "would be idolatry of the worst sort".

As this event is campaign related, Perry is violating the Establishment Clause for Republican Supply-side Jesus.

  1. Cartoon? Republican condoms? 🙁

  2. Snyder signed into law yesterday the teacher’s loss of tenure and public employees collective bargaining rights. And down goes another upper Midwest state.

  3. This is just to get ahead of Memphis Johnny in the comment count.

  4. 6:03 This looked like the lilies in my garden but I didn’t do very well.

  5. Does this mean that Muslims and Jews are not welcome at Perry’s “prayer rally”?

    • They are welcome, but only if they are there to learn about how evil they are and how much they need Republican Supply-side Jesus and his pseudo-Christian gospel of hate, greed and racism.

  6. I’ve become addicted to those blasted puzzles and have improved somewhat but not as much as I’d like. It’s kind of like my golf game. If I don’t keep score, my game improves enormously!

  7. If SCOTUS does get a hold of this, we know how it it’ll turn out – not for our side.

Ahh, some good news for a change. I hope Boeing loses and loses big!

WTF? Christains get their own prayer rally and other religions are not allowed? Are they nuts? They are all praying to the same dude/woman.

I don’t know what those are and I don’t want to know. 😯

    • Lisa, the four Justicex on SCOTUS are not a problem. It’s the five fascists on SCROTUS.

      Me too.

      Shhh! It’s a secret. 😉

      See below.

  8. The things in the cartoon are O Rings. They come in assorted sizes for sphincter repair after being Teabuggered.
