Yesterday I had trouble sleeping, and when I finally fell asleep, I slept late.  I’m current with comments, but my main articles will be late.  I’m going to post this right away.  If there are not three articles above it, please come back in a bit.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Yesterday it took me 3:56 (average 4:42).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From Bloomberg: European governments failed to agree on releasing a loan payment to spare Greece from default, ramping up pressure on Prime Minister George Papandreou to first deliver budget cuts in the face of domestic opposition.

If the US had the EU’s structure (more like the states under the Confederation), Red States would be in trouble, because, unlike most blue states, they get more from the feds than they pay in taxes.

From USA Today: Keith Olbermann, the sharp, sarcastic and supremely self-confident commentator, is ready for action again. Five months after abruptly ending an eight-year run as MSNBC’s top-rated host, he moves his Countdown Monday [today] night (8 ET/PT) to tiny Current TV, the 6-year-old cable channel co-founded by Al Gore and Joel Hyatt, two like-minded liberals.

I hope they fix their auto-start bug soon, so I can bring you videos.

From Huffington Post: The dust has barely settled on Connecticut’s contentious 2010 U.S. Senate race to replace retiring former Sen. Chris Dodd and candidates are already back on the campaign trail, this time gearing up to replace the retiring Sen. Joe Lieberman in 2012.

The race hasn’t even been defined yet, but the prospect of no more LIEberscum is refreshing.

  1. Oh yeah, I forgot to get up at 1:00am to read your post TC. Shame on you for sleeping in. 🙄

Who else can Greece appeal to – the IMF? I don’t think Greece collapsing is going to have a world wide effect, but it will teach out Repubs what a country looks like in bankruptcy and then they may back of this deficit raising threatens that they’ve issued, once they see the havoc it will cause when it’s a 1000 times bigger.

Me too. Those auto starts are really annoying. And I do miss Keith.

Lieberdouche is going to get his ass handed to him this time. CT’s know what a mistake they put on America by electing that asshole who had the balls to be McCain’s first hand man.

She is such a witch – if she fell off her flat earth, I would not be sorry.

    • I suppose this is probably classified as “Breaking News”:

Athens, Greece (CNN) – Greece is preparing to sell off billions of dollars worth of state assets including airports, highways, state-owned companies as well as banks, real estate and gaming licenses to meet international lenders’ demands that it raise funds.

European finance ministers said Sunday that they were on track to give Greece a second huge bailout to keep the government afloat, but reiterated that Athens had to take tough measures to get it.

The cute cynic reply is, “I wonder if I can get a column from the Parthenon.”

The serious cynic is how this development is not outside the realm of Shock Doctrine. Meaning, I’m not so sure if it’ll have ANY impact on Repubicans – it may very well be what they’d like to see happen here: prevent raising the debt ceiling, forcing financial chaos, with corporations then being able to buy public-owned facilities and services. Repubicans, after all, are PURE EVIL.

    • Get your ass up next time ❗ 😉

Perhaps they would welcome the havoc, believing they can blame Obama.

I received a tweet from them today that they are working on the problem.

Lisa, he’s retiring, so hmie knows. Call him Lieberdouche and Massengill might sue you.

      Amen!

  2. Liked the cartoon! Putin can see her shaving her chest from his kitchen window, I bet! 😈

  3. Ooops! 5:07

I am looking forward to watching KO on tv tonight!

  4. I only have cable Internet – just “antenna” TV – but learned that you can watch Olbermann for FREE at this website (NOTE: If you go there now you’ll just see ads and a promo that Olbermann starts tonight):
    http://ready-tv.com/?p=109

I have no idea if they offer CC (Closed Captioning), which I would need, but the price sure is right in case Current TV is one of those premium stations.

Olbermann is also available for FREE through the Apple iTunes Store – but you’ve got to setup an account, download some software and then subscribe … so I’ll let you just read the procedure where I found it:

  5. 3:53 Close! I am 55 out of 171 (322).

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
