Republicans are redoubling their efforts to credit Bush for stopping OBL’s reign of terror, not Obama. David Loch is one. I understand Crawford Caligula failed to attend, because his panties are in a bunch over it. And of course there’s the Republican Ministry of propaganda, Faux Noise. Here’s an example of that, after which we’ll make sure Bush gets all the credit he deserves.
Col. Oliver North visited the Hannity show last night to discuss Osama Bin Laden’s death. Sean Hannity was obviously disappointed that North would not go along with two out of three of Hannity’s favorite memes of late: calling for the release of the Bin Laden death photos and attacking President Obama for being “too sensitive” (read “too Muslim friendly”) in providing religious rites with Bin Laden’s body. But whatever frustration Hannity felt was surely assuaged by North’s later remarks extolling “enhanced interrogations” and President Bush.
At about 5:30 in the interview, North said that Obama deserved the credit for a “bold decision” in his plan of attack against Bin Laden. But, North quickly added, “It was not a courageous decision… The options he had was one, do nothing or number two do this.”
No, the courage, the vision and the credit goes to George W. Bush. Later, North said, “We ought to be thanking George W. Bush for having implemented those enhanced interrogation procedures which, by the way, are not torture, but nonetheless were effective in making sure this information got started so we could conduct this operation.” That’s right, we should thank Bush for those “effective” techniques that many years later – and two years after Obama took office and banned them – allowed his administration to do what Bush never did… [emphasis added]

How absurd! But I’m not surprised that would be coming from the man, who still thinks his Iran-Contra crimes on behalf of Reagan were the right thing to do. But to be fair, lets examine the record to be sure that Bush gets all the credit he deserves. Ed Shultz leads is through that timeline, and Alan Grayson joins in.

Ed did go too far in one thing though. One cannot blame Bush for continuing to read, because My Pet Goat exceeded his intellectual capacity.
For Bush to get proper credit, he should get an all expense paid vacation to a resort known for the quality of its bars.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Hannity and North are both full of shit. We DID engage in torture (and that was exactly what it was); torture did NOT lead to bin Laden’s death; Bush had nothing whatsoever to do with the end of bin Laden, and in fact let him escape through sheer bungling in 2002; and it was the steady, relentless, and thorough methodology employed by OBAMA that led to the death of bin Laden.
That asshole Hannity called a former criminal to defend Bush? How low can you go? 🙄
Now Lisa, some former criminals are actually good people. 🙂
Right on, Jack!
Just so we can have it on the record:

Did Lindsey-poo misspeak? He must hate himself for letting something true slip out.
One of my favorite Bushism’s is “I don’t know where Bin Laden is and I don’t really care.” Classic that one. 😡
My all time favorite was looking for the WMD.
I feel sick. A lying ass BP commercial played before the interview started.
I don’t blame you, but I’d rather have to put up with the lying ads from corporate criminals than not to have any progressive coverage at all. We have so little already.
