From Alternet: According to research (PDF) carried out by Michael I. Norton of Harvard Business School and Dan Ariely of Duke University, and flagged by Paul Kedrosky at the Infectious Greed blog, 92 percent of Americans would choose to live in a society with far less income disparity than the US, choosing Sweden’s model over that of the US.

That kind of makes me wonder why Pakistan is an “ally” and what the hell we’re doing in Afghanistan?

I am without going to the PDF assume that Sweden is living under the tyranny of a socialist society where everyone has health care, pays a fair portion of their income in taxes and has a working infrastructure with good educational systems in place and it costs 1/2 of what our failed system does?

  Mark, it the Swedish model, the top quintile has 36% of income, and the bottom, 11% In the US model the top quintile has 84% of income.n The bottom, 0.1%.
