Yesterday, I finally felt rested. I looked at some catalogs – one was the company whose catalog helped save my vision Saturday – I figured I owed them a look. One was a yarn/needlecraft supply company. I also placed a grocery delivery order for today. So there may be gaps in my responding to your comments (which I am the only one who will notice, most likely.).

Talking Points Memo – The Most Damning Jan 6th Revelation Yet
Quote – As I have noted in other recent posts, much of the recent ‘news’ about the insurrection has not been terribly new. It’s repackaged versions of things we knew or additional evidence and detail. This story published last night in the Post is one of the biggest revelations I’ve seen to date. John Eastman is the Federalist Society right wing law professor who wrote up the legal gloss for the President’s coup plot. It created the connective tissue joining the coup plot within the government with the paramilitary violence that broke out on Capitol Hill on January 6th.

TJI #1 – IOKIYAAR. It’s probably too late for Jordan, but I hope we can at least lock Gaetz up.
TJI #2 – That is a really crappy thing to do. But, even as a veteran, I think it is even crappier to claim that the friend he was in the accident with, who SAVED HIS LIFE, abandoned him. And even non-veterans should be able to grasp that one.
TJI #3 – Everything the GOP does is far more radical than anything we do. Everything. They are truly the Radical Right, and we are the true centrists. I hope putting it this way gives more people a clue.
TJI #4 – I’m not sure how that would work (heck, I’m not sure how it works now), but it’s not a bad generl idea.
TJI #5 – I would go so far as to say that’s always the case. There’s a saying, “You are the only Bible some folk will ever read.” That is my mantra, as IHillary Clinton’s is “Do all the good you can,/By all the means you can,/In all the ways you can,/In all the places you can,/At all the times you can,/To all the people you can,/As long as ever you can.” (Not that I don’t like hers too. It’s attributed to John Wesley, but some think it’s not his, or not original to him.)

Guardian: He’s massively outnumbered in his own party, and will be gerrymandered out. It makes some sense that he’d leave on his own terms. I just hope he can help effect change from the outside. Today’s Virginia election may show the direction of Trump’s influence.
DU: Gaetz is what scum gets to look like when it is entitled. He thrives, as does his Lord Trump, on creating theater, has no socially redeeming characteristics.
TP: No, no surprise. Damned DOJ…now I’m beginning to see the possibility of a serious “plot” coddle the seditionists, those inside the gov’t, and those outside it. It’s beginning to look like Ford/Nixon. Why is Bannon still on the streets? And, Meadows? It’s like COP26 could turn into COPOUT21, without surprising me.

Because I’m almost always the last one to comment, I always go back to the previous day to see if I triggered a response, Joanne. So I notice – but certainly don’t mind – any gaps in your response, as you are the only one who does. 😁
TG: With all the moderates quitting, the GQP is becoming insufferable because they are replaced by Trumpkins. Any hope of ever working together in for example commissions will be gone as all Republicans intend to do in those commissions is frustrating Democrats from ever reaching a goal. Democracy in Congress is on its deathbed without some moderates willing to work together. Sadly, this notion doesn’t prevent some Democrats from working together with the GQP.
DU: Excuse me? When is this election mistake going to be removed from the House?
TPM: Is the Committee also getting the whole story on why none of this leads to arrests, investigations or indictments by the DOJ?
