Yesterday I was tied up here doing paperwork.  This morning I have an appointment that will keep me away several hours.  I’m up to date on comments.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today it took me 4:43 (average 5:45).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From Common Dreams: If Maine Gov. Paul LePage doesn’t wish to display a mural depicting the state’s labor history, then the federal money used to create it should be returned, the U.S. Department of Labor says. Protesters rally at the State House in Augusta, Maine demanding the return of the labor mural that Maine Gov. Paul LePage ordered removed from the Labor Department headquarters, on Monday, April 4, 2011. (AP Photo/Pat Wellenbach) The department said Monday that LePage violated the terms of federal laws governing money used to pay for most of the mural’s $60,000 cost when he removed the artwork from state offices last month.

HA! This gave me a much needed smile!

From Alternet: General David Petraeus is being "seriously considered" for the job of CIA director, according to a report by National Public Radio.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

From Daily Kos: The Greater Wisconsin Committee has put together a solid video laying out the stakes in tomorrow’s [today’s] Supreme Court election between incumbent David Prosser and challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg.

It’s today.  Go! Jo!  Go!

They wouldn’t notice. They wallow in shit all the time.

  3. Why is a governor worried about a damned mural on the wall – doesn’t he have anything else to do?

No, no, no. Please tell me that they are not hauling him out of moth balls to be CIA director – are you kidding me?

Planned Parenthood is one of the greatest places in the world. My boyfriend took me there in high school, like millions of other scared teens. They were professional, straight forward and nice.

    • It represents child labor at a time that he is trying to reinstate the practice.
