MT: I think that he’s giving them too much credit for actual smarts. I think that they are just relying curry favor with the former guy. There may also be a bit of fear of changing course, of doing something “different,” based on their anxiety about change.
Roselle Park: Confederate flag??!! Of course they are Trump people. But, no, she does not have freedom of speech to be, in effect, “screaming” profanities. I used to live one, or two, towns from there! As usual, hypocrisy rears its ugly head: People used to try to tell me that GWB was “our” president, but now Biden is not “theirs.” I have seen at least one pick-up truck with “F**k Biden” flags. We are in what some are calling a “Cold Civil War.”

Beau: It’s a cultural divide, based ON politics, and todays politics is based, largely, on bigotry, and other lies. The bigotry was there, first, never went away, now it’s obvious, after the Civil War, and that’s the thread the politics followed, starting with Nixon’s “Southern Strategy.” We have the political divide because we were politically divided, though not so fiercely, which is what allowed the “Conservative” media to gas light their fans, in the first place. Beau is showing something, here, that TOT is incapable of showing, of experiencing…caring. If someone knows how to send that to Beau, please be my guest.

Meidas Touch: If what he says has any truth to it, then clearly Rethuglicans are both a) sore over Biden winning and b) jealous of everybody who has enough sense to get vaccinated.

Grumpy Grandpa Mason: One never knows how a cat will react to a new environment. It was wonderful to see that old street cat become a surrogate father to those unfortunate kittens! That second video really does summon those pesky onion-chopping ninjas. In 2014 I buried Ragamuffin, an alley cat who adopted me and was my constant companion for 17 wonderful years.
Beau: When Democrats heed medical professionals and get vaccinated, while Republicans listen to banana brains who do nothing but parrot idiotic propaganda. There is nothing political about a national emergency! Are tornadoes political? Are earthquakes? Are wildfires? Meanwhile, here is the link to the election/vaccination maps video.

I can understand that Kirschner took a day off; there are only so many ways in which you can call on the DOJ to start indicting the former guy.

Dodo #1&2: I’ve never regretted having feral/stray cats adopt me and joined the (cat) household no matter how old or sick they were. Sometimes it was only for 6-12 months because they were too run-down and sick to survive longer, but always longer than expected because good care and a roof over their heads made all the difference. With one exception, they all turned from grumpy cats into loving felines who loved a good pet. The exception wouldn’t allow me you pet him but sat close to me and talked to me to show his gratitude. No cat is too old or sick to be rescued and have a few good months in its life.
Beau: Republicans don’t care if people die or are stuck with the destruction COVID inflicted on their bodies for years to come. They only care about saving face, or rather their a$$es, by not admitting they were wrong. And if they’re caught telling lie after lie, they just give it another spin. As Patquoted Rober Reich today: “Instead of asking his followers to get vaccinated, the former guy is claiming that people are not getting vaccinated because they don’t trust the election results. Serious question: Is he the most loathsome human being ever to hold elected office in the US?” Just another spin that will cost some more of his own followers their lives. But they keep believing him and his cronies.
