It’s a hectic day here in the CatBox.  After spending the last hour sitting on the throne and waiting for the last turd to exit my butt was my my limit, I filled the throne with Republicans, thanks and hugs to all.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 5:05 (average 5:50).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

  1. Cartoon: Isn’t that awful? They’re in denial with this, of course.
BFTP: Boy, this one sure does bring back memories. Wow!

Well, it’s a GREAT and positive day when one can Replicate, and I’m glad that you started your day..in a good way. Hope that your day is wonderful and that you have a fantastic day. Take good care, Tom, and Thanks! for all you do.

*This just in: “Does anyone really miss the anxiety driven attention we had to pay to Trump? My only thoughts of him now are how soon he will be indicted and who will proceed first. For the record, I have no doubt it willhappen! It is only a question of when and who first — GA, NYC or the Feds? ~ John Dean ~
    2.  “LaDonna Allard was a leader in the fight against the Dakota Access Pipeline and a giant in the environmental community who made environmental justice and tribal sovereignty central to the climate fight. I am thinking of her loved ones and the many she inspired. She leaves behind a legacy of work toward a more just future, and our work must continue to protect our people, planet, and future. ~Senator Jeff Merkley ~
    3. “Breaking: House votes to make Washington DC the 51st state, 216-208.” ~ Hugo Lowell ~
    4. “John Kennedy (R-LA) and others will never learn there are some women in DC it is very unwise to challenge. Stacey is one of them, Katie Porter, Jen Psaki all come to mind. ~ Charlie S.  ~
    5. “‘You wanna pollute? You want to hurt the wildlife? You want to destroy our planet? Do it on you company’s own dime.'” @RepKatiePorter wasn’t holding back during a chat with a fossil fuel exec ON EARTH DAY.

    • TJI #1 – John Dean was always the smartest of the conspirators (smart enough to flip early, for one thing) and he knows the court sustem literally inside and out. We mustn’t lose patience (though I grant it’s almost unbearable not to rant a little occasionally.)
TJI #2 – Thanks, Jeff Merkley, for ths beautiful tribute.
TJI #3 – No Republican voted for, IIRC, but some Dems must have voted against. What can they have been thinking!
TJI #4 – All remarkable women, and yes, there are others. But remember th Alt-Right Playbook. As long as they don’t admit defeat, their base will be convinced that they won the exchange.
      TJI #5 – Indeed.

    • TJI #1: I’d wish those prosecutors hurry up, though.

TJI #3: That’s right along party lines, I assume?

      TJI #5: Kudos to Katie.

  2. My goodness, that’s frustrating. But when it ends in victory, at least that’s a good thing.

If any one is fond of puns, and particularly pun contests where everyone tries to top everyone else … check out the Christiansburg, VA sign war.

Cartoon Well, air like that probably fits their systems better than clean air. Sigh.

Blast – English words set to an old Russian folk song, which reminds me that, though Democrats are generally better at remembering that it is not the Russian people (who are much like us) we have a quarrel with,, but the Russian govenment – it doesn’t hurt to consciously remember that. The words are, of course, words of nostalgia, which we all have, and the older we gst, the more we have it. But I can like the words of this song; they are based in reality. Every time I hear the song “Golden Days” from “The Student Prince,” I can’t halp thinking that if that’s how the character really feels, he has wasted his life, regardless how many academic degrees he attained.

  3. Announcement

Please, everyone take a look at this comment by Pat A. Besides the fact that she is alive and well, which is in itself reason for rejoicing (I for one was worried), she has pretty much written a column for us, just wasn’t able to place it as a separate post. And it is important.

  4. ‘Toon: I took a B&W photo of Manhattan, taken from Queens, in the same context.  I think that when those turd-like Republicans see this, they think only of the money made in the process of screwing up the world.
BFP: “We’re older, but no wiser.”  Some are older and less wise, sadly.  Nonetheless, it’s a beautiful song.

  5. Cartoon: Shameful that this situation has been ignored for so long.
    BFTP: Great song.
Nice to hear that you were able to Replicate earlier this morning.
Hope the rest of your Sunday, went well. Do continue to get your rest and please eat.
Good luck tomorrow with your first shot of the Moderna vaccine. Extra prayers going your way, that you don’t have any side effects from it.
    Take care.

  6. Congrats on the evacuations, TomCat. I hope everything goes well with your vaccination today.

Cartoon: It was that you couldn’t see the wood for the trees; now you can’t see the smoke for the smog. Hope is Biden will get a grip on pollution prevention again.

BFTP: I remember this very well and it brings back a lot of good memories too.

  7. Thanks and  way pooped Monday Hugs to all.
