My Aunt has passed.

I will be taking a  “sabbatical” of sorts, and probably be scarce for the next week or two.

  9. So sorry to hear about your aunt’s passing, Nameless. Losing a beloved relative or friend is hard, so give yourself time to grieve for her too besides taking care of her estate as her executor.

  10. I’m so sorry my dear friend.  You take the time you need and know that you and yours shall be in my thoughts and prayers until and beyond your return.

  11. Thank you all for your kind concern and wishes.

The funeral is tentatively set for this Friday in Illinois, so I’ll go up on Thursday.  I had scheduled my income tax appointment w/ my CPA for May 4th, which I’ll have to reschedule.

Not only do I not want to overstay my welcome (like Ben Franklin said: “Fish and visitors smell in three days”), but I’d have to find someone to take come in and feed Nike because I can’t leave him that long.

  12. My condolences Nameless.  Take care and stay safe while in Illinois and travelling.  If I lived close to you, I would volunteer to feed precious Nike but alas I am no where near you.  My prayers are  with you and your family.
