WWWendy posted it as a comment in yesterday’s Video Thread, but I am copying it here because not everyone looks there:
HI EVERYONE, WENDY HERE – WANTED TO GIVE AN UPDATE ON TOM. WE SURVIVED THE MOVE ON SATURDAY TO THE NEW FACILITY. VERY LONG DAY FOR US BOTH. TOM IS ADJUSTING WELL, GETTING USED TO HIS NEW ENVIRONMENT AND RESTING UP THE BEST HE CAN. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE WERE SOME COMPUTER COMPLICATIONS AND WE HAVE A REPAIR MAN COMING ON WEDNESDAY. I TOLD TOM THAT I WOULD POST AN UPDATE – THE MOVE CAUSED A LOT OF DISCOMFORT AND PAIN FOR HIM AND HE IS VERY EXHAUSTED – HAS BEEN IN BED RESTING SINCE SATURDAY AND HOPEFULLY WILL BE UP AND ABOUT WITH A COMPUTER BY WEDNESDAY IF EVERYTHING GOES AS PLANNED. NEW PLACE IS TREATING HIM WELL {WITH MY SUPERVISION OF COURSE – LOL}. I THINK IN THE LONG RUN, THIS WILL BE A GOOD MOVE TO PROVIDE HIM WITH 24 HOUR COMFORT AND CARE.
BEST REGARDS TO EVERYONE – THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED CARE AND SUPPORT OF TOM AND i.
The emphasis is mine – our guesses were actually spot on (although we didn’t mention the exhaustion, I feel sure it was always there in our minds. And Wednesday is tomorrow!
I was already feeling much better today and this just puts frosting on that.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
My Russian Blue… not that she’s spoiled or anything, but she’s the boss of the house, and hogs the bed. Gotta love our kitties!
GOP scale: Yep. Spot on!
Beatles – Love this song.
Thank you, Wendy for your update, and prayers for you, and TC.
Thank you so much Joanne, for posting today. I know (for one) that I can count on you to get the posts out here for us all, and Nameless as well.
Hope that a good day is in your back pocket. YAY, for Wednesday!
Today’s TJI’s: “In America, 75% of seniors who need hearing aids don’t have one. Why? The average hearing aids costs more than $2400, and can run as high as $6000, while 50% of seniors are living on a fixed income of less than @2,200 a month.” ~ Bernie Sanders ~
2. “Health Care is infrastructure. Housing is infrastructure. Child Care is infrastructure. Elder Care is infrastructure.” ~ Ayanna Pressley ~
3. “Imagine being Matt Gaetz and realizing that trump thinks you’re too gross to be seen with.” ~ Andy Borowitz ~
4. “I felt like there was a real opportunity to help people understand that if you’re concerned about what’s happening in Washington, then you have voice. And that voice is your vote.” ~ Katie Porter ~
YVW and LOL! I’m sure I’ve read that a fair amount od sciatica is caused (or exacerbated) by wallets carried in back pockets, but that wouldn’t be me – I don’t use back pockets – for reasons too embarrassing to share.
TJI #1 – And he is so right! My Mom, thankfully, had TIAA and CREF in addition to SS. So she did have hearing aids – which corrected her hearing to ONLY a 90% loss. Don’t get me started.
TJI # – And SHE is so right. She is a real treasure.
TJI #3 – Must I? I’d really rather not.
TJI #4 – Another real treasure.
TJI #2 – Saw Sec. Pete Buttigieg on a Sunday talk show addressing what whiny complain about WRT items included in Biden’s Infrastructure/American Jobs Act. Paraphrasing, but the keep point was that infrastructure is what allows Americans to live their lives well and thrive – and that includes a lot more than just roads and bridges.
Yes, saw Wendy’s note earlier. When Tom comes out from hiding it will be like “Here comes the sun!”
And that’s exactly why I chose that song!
Incidentally, the baby or whom we prayed while he was in utero earlier this year has been born by C-section and is adorable – Carrie B-s great-grandson “Tres” as in 3 since he is a III.
Sorry it’s a little blurry. The cloud only had a thumbnail.
He’s so adorable. Please tell Carrie congratulations for me.
Thanks Joanne
Carrie: Congratulations, Great Grandma Carrie B., and family, with the birth of precious Tres!!
He is so adorable!!
Best Wishes again!
Congratulations with your great-grandson Tres, Carrie.
Finally an update. Thank God. We were all so concerned. I watched the Padres play yesterday afternoon, soo I didn’t do much online yesterday.
Hearing that TC is exhausted, is something we’d expect with a major move like that all in one day. I know I would be in the same boat if I had to face a move like that. We’re very grateful for all that you’ve done, Wendy. You’ve helped in so many ways. Bless you for all that you’ve done.
As for computer/network setup issues, I know that can be a whole another type of ballgame. Hopefully the technician will be there nice and early to fix the issue. Then TC will be ready to post again.
Again that you Wendy for everything you doing. Take care too.
Cartoon: Kitten is cute. Makes me think of TC resting, nice and comfortable like he should be.
BFTP: Great song by my favorite group. The Beatles. Perfect selection, Joanne.
Thanks again, Joanne. Appreciate it very much!
Keeping my fingers crossed the IT guy/gal can perform some magic & get TC back in the saddle.
Excellent news. Thank you, WWWendy, for the update and the immeasurable support you provide for our TomCat and thank you, Joanne, for putting the update where it could not be missed.
Cartoon: Good to see it put to very appropriate use again. I hope TomCat’s PC problems are fixed soon, but he shouldn’t feel pressured to do a lot on the site, resting has the highest priority.
Cartoon 2: Makes me wonder when the GOP goes to the next step (ballistic).
BFTP: A new memory added to this wonderful song.
Thanks so much for the update, Wendy. Glad to hear things went well. Also thanks to JD for keepin’ on. Get my 2nd Moderna dose t’morrow—–YAY 4 science and a competent, caring Biden admin. Stay safe, all. Hope to hear TC meowing soon, LOL!
YVW, and hope that second dose goes well. Some people are reporting fatigue and flu-like symptoms from the second Moderna but not the first, while others who had some symptoms after the first are reporting much fewer (or none) after the second. One person reports being told by a health care provider that symptoms are a sign it is working. I hope it works really, really well for you and produces a minimum of symptoms.
