It’s a very tired day here in the CatBox. Yesterday Windows Updated my computer. Ever since, I have lost sound on my computer, so anything that displays sound, such as videos, I can only guess at them. WWWendy will be visiting soon to update the charts and repair broken skin lesions on my butt. I need to rest as much as I can. I had a chat with Kelli at Ivy Court today. She does not mind if I blog about my life there. However, some of the residents may not be capable of giving consent, to use their names, so in all cases, I will be using alias names. If I use any pictures, I need to clear through Kelli first. I trust that things will relax over time. The more I talk to Kelli, the more convinced I become that I’m really going to love living at Ivy Court. Tomorrow is moving day, so please color me gone until I return. You guys are in charge Prayers Up!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Fortunately, I got to this before you guys realize that I’m too damn stupid to know what day it is.
Tomorrow is not moving day, so I should have a Personal Update. Saturday is.
Your mistake is quite understandable, TomCat. You’re excited about your move and looking forward to it.
Cartoon: A great day for all.
BFTP: We really had great times back then, didn’t we? Love the song!
No worries, you’re good, TC! Glad for you getting your Windows update. Hi, Wendy! TY for all you do! I’m so glad that you will feel welcome in your new place too. It does sound really nice. From the pictures of Ivy Court, you made a great decision, and I’m happy for you. Get your rest, and take good, good care, Tom.
*This just in: “Honored to be the first poet EVER on the cover of @voguemagazine and what a joy to do so while wearing a black designer @virgilabloh. This is called the Rise of Amanda Gorman, but it truly for all of you, both named and unseen, who lift me up.” ~ Amanda Gorman ~
2. “I can’t believe I have to say this, but giant corporations shouldn’t pay less in taxes than a teacher or a fire fighter. We’re going to change that – and ensure corporations finally pay their fair share with the ‘Made in America Tax Plan.'” ~ President Joe Biden ~
3. “It’s a tiny window of opportunity. Dems have had the Presidency AND both houses of Congress in only 4 of the past 28 years. So be bold, damn it.” ~ Robert Reich ~
4. re: vaccinated Americans – “It’s a huge amazing feat that we all know wouldn’t have happened for years if ever, under the previous administration.” ~ Becca V. ~
5. “We are America. We don’t just fix for today. We build for tomorrow.” ~ President Biden ~
TJI #1 – I am so happy for her – and for us to have her as a fellow citizen. I also look forward to seeing other young poets get the recognition they deserve.
TJI #2 – Sadly I have no difficulty believing he has to say it. I’ve heard it too often for too long and seen no positive change. I hop we will now see some.
thi # – Tell it all, Robert. Tell them if we don’t kill the filibuster now we will never have another chance. Republicans will regain power and we will never have it again. Ever.
TJI #5 – Except for those uf us who won’t even fix for today
TJI’s: Five WONDERFULS!!!!
TJI#1: Wonderful news. Well deserved. I hope she continues sharing more with her great writings.
TJI#2: Crazy that this has been going on as long as it has. Praying that President Biden can change it so they do pay more.
TJI#3: True words spoken by RR.
TJI#4: Becca’s right. tRump would of just been calling it fake news and not getting the vaccines pushed like President Biden has.
Heck, I never know what day it is. You are not alone Also, I try very hard to get videos with CC and to activate it, and et a transcript if it doesn’t have CC. Granted CC is not perfect – just one example, it always hears
“Olbermann” as “older man.”
Cartoon – It wouldn’t hurt a bit to have a new, updated, one … even if only for green jobs. But this Congress …
Blast – And you were therer. I only heard and read about it (probably about half true.)
SO TOTALLY AGREEING!!!!!
AMEN.
It also tells us whose side the media are on, or more accurately who owns the American media.
Good luck! It does sound like you have found a haven!
‘Toon: Memories, and memories!
The sound issue w/ Windows has happened to me a couple of times after an update.
Go to the Start button (the Windows icon) –> Type “Sound Settings” & click Enter –> If the “Master Volume” slide-bar isn’t at “100” – then slide it there (or w/e number works best for you). Even if the Master Volume says “100” click “Device Properties” and move the individual Left & Right slide-bars to 100 (or w/e number is best).
If still no sound click “Manage Sound Devices” right below Master Volume –> Then click on w/e Output Device you’re using – usually Speakers/Headphones. Either Enable it if it’s Disabled, or if Enabled, click the Test option.
Thanks, Nameless. When I did it, I had one problem. It didn’t work. I’m afraid I’ll need to hire a computer tech after I move. Thank you very much for trying.
Cartoon: A big day.
BFTP: Great song with many memories.
Moving day tomorrow?? Good one, TomCat. You were just testing us to see if we really read your messages…right? Well we do, so we knew it must of been a mistype since you’ve been saying Saturday all week long.
Glad to hear that your talk with Kelli went well yesterday. Plus that Kelli is someone you’re comfortable talking to. Nice hearing how happy you are looking forward to moving to your new place, Ivy Court.
Hope your visit with Wendy went well today.
Please keep getting your rest. Take care.
Sorry to read about losing sound on your computer. Given your eyesight that must be a terrible bother, as communications through Skype, Zoom or whatever are also impaired. I hope you can get it fixed soon but I’d suggest after your move. You need to rest as much as possible for that and not waste energy on your PC. Do you have a tablet to watch videos?
Cartoon: I’m not familiar with its working and how much good it actually does but it sounds like a very good thing to have – and possibly upgrade after the former guy?
BFTP: No memories from Woodstock (too young to register its significance) but a lot connected to the must-have album which I bought just a few years later.
Please see today’s Personal Update, the last until I return. TGIF Hugs to all!
