TJI #1 – Yes indeed. Of course with the last guy’s DOD in place, that wasn’t going to happen. And … the traditional punishment is not going to happen while his testimony might be needed. But I’m sure he could be deposed from a military prison if necessary.
TJI #4 – Some people already had direct deposits in their accounts yesterday (I think mostly credit union customers.) I didn’t but we are expecting “Snowmageddon” here and no one is at the credit union. But I’m not in a hurry.
At the least Flynn should be stripped of his rank and pension, even with a pardon, and, hopefully new charges not covered by that.
I do know some folks who’ve gotten this stimulus payment, I’m with USAA and got it quickly last time, not yet this time. I’m still really angry with the GQP all of whom voted against it as unnecessary and excessive, though 75% of the nation approves. I guess they forgot the hardships so many of us endured this past year with job losses, health insurance losses, evictions and no money for anything. This will be welcome but it’s not nearly enough. There are a lot of great things in it but not enough cash for people who need it badly.
I’ve signed a petition to help Pramila Jayapal’s bill to provide $2000 a month go forward. It could be done, should be done. We’re not out of the woods at all yet. So much left to do and as the nation swings ever more progressive, and it will, we’ll finally get what’s needed including national healthcare and a start at rebuilding an infrastructure that is 70 plus years old and crumbling.
