Feb 212021
Please pardon my pit stop. I’ve tad virtually no sleep in the last three days, and I’ve figured out why. Lactulose causes bloating, cramping and gas. That has kept me awake. WWWendy is coming, and I hope I can nap before she does. Have a good day. Maybe tomorrow.
Jig Zone Puzzle:
Today’s took me 4:26 (average 5:10). To do it, click here. How did you do?

This pic of me is a week old.

Cartoon: We’ve had no power, shortages of having food, freezing water pipes exploding, and also combatting the crippling cold, snow and ice this past week, and here we are today @55. We’re good to go now. After all.. this is Texas. lol
BFTP: Loved the movie, and the song, by Arlo G. Such talent!
Early HI’s to Wendy. Hope that you rest, nap, and start feeling better. Take good, good care, and Thanks, Tom.

3. “We can send a rover to a planet 300 million miles away and land it like a feather. We can create oxygen over there, we can fly mini helicopters in the Martian sky that works for us and send us things, and we can’t provide water and power to people in Texas when it’s cold.” ~ Rachel Maddow ~
4. “Cheers and Kudos, Love and support to U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Houstonian Representative Al Green and Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia for helping us and many folks here in TX!” *pb*
FYI: We’ve not had exploding freezing water pipes here at my house, but elsewhere some of our friends have had it happen to them. The rest of that sentence is true. *pb
TJI #2 – Who does he think he is? A Senator or something?
TJI #4 – Haven’t they been just wonderful!
My City of austin cousin has not returned the phone message I left for them. It is sad that the “NEED” for Texas to be so outstandingly different from the rest of us,has led to such a tragedy.
TJI#1: That’s them!
TJI#2: you go Texas R’s, show us what you are made of!
TJI#3: We can go to Mars, and so on, because of close COOPERATION, not big in the “Do it yourself” state. Is that what the Lone Star is about, going it alone? Is that part of the Texas mythology, ethos?
TJI#4: so much deserved.
TJI #1 – Best? I think that’s about ALL that republicans do!
TJ #ALL:
Well, that would do it. I’m glad you figured it out.Now you’re going to need extra sleep for a while, of course. I’m hoping circumstances, both foreseen and unforseen, will allow that!
Cartoon: Ours is slowly melting now. (Not that I even look outside much – so what do I know.)
Blast – This was (and is) epic. (And funny – possibly the only funny epic ever written/composed.) And Arlo Guthrie. Even I couldn’t have missed it. It’s great to revisit now and any time one needs a little humor.
It is very good that you figured out the problem. Can take something to replace the lactulose?
BFP:Love it! Saw him do it in person, years ago.
Cartoon: I feel for all of you who are suffering with these crazy weather conditions. I hope the conditions improve soon.
BFTP: I always enjoyed listening to Arlo Guthrie. Great movie.
Glad you found out why you weren’t sleeping, TC. I pray that they can give you something else to take that will help your issues and not cause you so much pain or insomnia.
Hope you had a pleasant morning/afternoon with Wendy.
Please do whatever it takes to get your rest. Plus hope you can eat and drink your fluids.
Take care.
Sorry to hear about your bad reaction to lactulose. Yes, sudden use of fibre, especially in a refined state, can lead to that. Try to find a balance by slowly increasing the amount. Which is terribly hard as you’re in desperate need of some relief; I understand. I hope you were able to catch up on some of your sleep, TomCat.
4:49 Too many legs and heads.
Cartoon: Indeed. Stay home and be glad you don’t have to go out again soon.
BFTP: There was a time when my friends and I knew the whole text by heart and recite it along with Arlo. When you’re 15-16 years old, you have a lot of time to misspend. We didn’t have telephones then.
Let us know what your healthcare provider provider says after you contact him/her tomorrow morning.
And hope you get a really good night’s sleep tonight!
I flushed my healthcare provider. 🚽
Thanks and recovering OGIM Hugs to all!
