MT: Most necessary! Of course, we know who the GOP says does all the voter fraud. Oh, it’s not actually fraud, if it’s within the law? No, it’s just more Jim Crow!
Damage: Understanding might lead to policy changes, beneficial ones? WTF? “The extremes will get extremer!” People will use their biases to find ways to not understand.

Why don’t they want to “Follow the science when it comes to Climate Change or Wearing Masks for COVID or Vaccinations or …
They conveniently “follow the science” ONLY when it suits their goals.

Just like for Hawley, the Take Home Message for Ted’ “Cancun” Cruz is:
Redistricting – yes. Colorado already has a non-partisan commission in charge of ours, and New Mexico is working on a bill to do the same, but we aren’t the problem. It’s states like Pennsylvania and Ohio that are the problem (not to single them out as there are many more.)
LP: They won’t let Ted live his absconding down for a long time.
MT: If Dems do not get on top of this they’ll be out on their ear again after the next elections.
DR: The point is that there is no real argument based on rational thought on both sides. There’s reason based on science on the one hand versus denial of any rational argument based on stuborn ignorance and refusal to take responsibility.
Alt-right playbook: Thanks, Joanne, for posting. I still didn’t have time to see the very long (>30 min) one but it is bookmarked among the others for later viewing. Very educational, but you and I may be among the very few that have viewed them.
SNL: I’ve managed to miss most of the Britney thing but I’m up-date with Cruz, Cuomo and even Carano. Nice job, SNL. Now I’m humorously updated on all four of them and loved how Ted was slowly pushed back in the cesspool which spawned him.
Beau: He was referring to Texan Government and Cruz specifically as the ‘tough guys’ demasked by Beto and AOC, but the ‘tough Texan’ who demasked himself was Tim Boyd, the mayor of Colorado City, Texas, who raged against the complaining residents of his town on social media. “The City and County, along with power providers or any other service owes you NOTHING! I’m sick and tired of people looking for a damn handout!” Boyd wrote. The mayor added it is “not the local government’s responsibility to support you during trying times like this! Sink or swim, it’s your choice!” He’s deleted his post from social media and himself from his office since then. An example which Cruz and Perry should follow.
Beau is right on the money saying toughness is only real when used to help others. And he walks that talk. When he was a contractor with the military, overseas, he saw first hand what ethnic cleansing looks like. He used what power he had to help get some who most needed it into the United States without going through the hoops. Back in the States, he took in his stride serving the time for “International Alien Smuggling.” I can’t tell you more than that because he can’t tell much more than that. because he gave his word not to tell anyone.
LD: His actions w/not be forgotten by these people here in TX.
MT: ugh!
