Halloween was great (as always), and enjoyed the late afternoon/evening Trick and Treaters. A most delightful day/evening, and good memories too!

TJI #2 – 21st century storm troopers pure and simple. that is exactly what Hitler did (had them do) during a period when he was less powerful – disrupt everyone else’s political events with violence.
TJI #3 – No major university is entirely free from wingnuts (and the alumni are the worst, far worse than rhe professors), but my old alma mater does do many things right. (Beau did a cast about this, incidentally.)
TJI #5 – Think twice or even more times about that. If that had been in force in 2008-2012, Mitch McConnell would have been rght on it. It would have been the fastest way to make Obama a one-term President. There would not have had to be anything real – in fact they work better with ade-up fantasies. And he would never have been convicted – but that wouldn’t matter. We need to seriously avoid putting tools in the hands of Republicans.
TJI#5 is true, #6 is wonderful, and #2 is sad.

Cartoon – Actually, I think the GOP would like to go back to the Roman Empire system.The tax collectors (called “publicans” iin the Bible) were unpaid contractors who assumed the responsibility of providing a specified amount of money to the Emperor. They had the authority to seize assets. Anything over the amount they raised for the Emperor, they gt to keep. Similar to the 16th century freebooters who thrived in England and elsewhere, only on land, and the freebooters mostly raided other countries’ citizens, whereas the publicans impoverished their own.
Cartoon: Yep, that’s how low and dirty the R’s are.

‘Toon: Raise his taxes? They won’t stop there, they’ll confiscate his belongings, charge him for storage, and then sell them for a profit, when he can’t make the payments. AND, they will try to convince him that they were doing it for his own good, all along, because they were afraid he might hurt himself pulling that stuff all over the place. If he’s a Trumpster, he’ll even believe, and thank them.
Set your clocks back an hour – and prepare to set them back 70 years if tRump is re-elected.
Mitch D, all too true. What’s worse, people in that poor guy’s position are voting for the Orange Ogre that reamed them out but good, and hopes to ream them out even more. If you live in the U.S and haven’t voted, get your arse to the polls on Tuesday, and vote blue no matter who top to bottom – even if you have to stand in line for hours.
