It’s a busy day here in the CatBox, as it’s a WWWendy day. This is my only article today. JD, would you please cover Bill Maher? Yesterday’s Home Health appointment went well, and I’ll have help from, a standard care nurse, a palliative care nurse, and a home aide. I should be in the saddle tomorrow.

Today’s took me 3:04 (average 4:50). To do it, click here. How did you do.

Trump* Virus Update:
The reason Oregon is increasing is that Republicans here opened a couple unsafe food processing plants. Workers became infected and spread it.
Cases: 2,118,693
Deaths: 116,873
Recovered: 842,068

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Cartoon: Oh! But of course! ugh!
TVU: 282 confirmed, 110 recovered, and 4 deaths. I would think it’ll get higher, as the beaches are open, as are restaurants/bars/taverns.
BFTP: Good (trippin’) music. knowwhatimean?
Hi Wendy!! Hope all is good with you. How wonderful that you will be getting help all the way around! with a standard care nurse, a palliative care nurse, and a home aide. That’s FANTASTIC news, and you certainly deserve it, TC !! Enjoy your day, take good care, and Thanks, Tom.
This just in: “Another promise that he made when he (dt) was campaigning, was that he would NEVER play golf if he got elected president. I guess because he wasn’t elected, that gives him the green light to play golf.” ~ John N. ~
2. “Like VD, dt is nothing to clap about. As a matter of fact, trump is now a leading cause of fatality amongst our population and a growing health hazard on multiple health levels. Avoid this POTUS 45 contagion at all costs wherever he invades a locale. ~ John N. ~
3. O/T, but encouraging news, Dem turnout for Georgia primary election skyrocketed with 3x’s the vote in the 2016 primary!” ~ Taegan G. ~
4. He (dt) actually said this: “I think the concept of choke holds sounds so innocent, so perfect.” ~
5. “Yesterday was the 4th anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub shooting. It’s Pride. We’re in the middle of a pandemic. Trump admin just erased rules to protect LGBTQ Americans from discrimination. Once again, the callousness, cruelty, division are by design.” ~ Adam Schiff ~
Glad your visit went well, and that you are going to get additional support.
‘Toon: Rights? “Who needs rights, except us over here, on the right?”
TVU: Blew past 2,000,000 we did! A couple, three, states have rescinded their re-opening programs.
BFTP: Love Procol Harem. I went to see them, in the ’70’s, in NYC, at the Palladium. They were excellent. But, the opening act, the Paul Winter Consort, blew me away!
TJI #5: Probably inspired by Pence!
TJI#3 does sound hopeful!
Of course I’ll cover Bill. I wasn’t ahead of the game this week, so it will take a little longer than it was last week. Best to WWWendy, and hope the chores go smoothly. The interview sound like a win-win-win – good for you!
This new ad campaign should please Bill Maher and Michael Moore (or maybe not.)

Cartoon – Oh, Lord, didn’t they. I could do quite a rant on this, but I’ll spare you – you all know it as well as I do.
Map – This is more interesting – and may be more pertinent – than just the number of cases. I’m glad to see Colorado on the decrease, but I don’t know how that applies to counties – or how long it will last. I’m sorry about Oregon. And I can’t quite see how any meat shortage can be alleviated by packaging contaminated meat.
Past – It is a great song and fun to listen to. But do we really need any more people to be a whiter shade of pale than they are now, especially Republicans>
Next tim you say “Black Lives Matter” and someone says, “No, all lives matter,” try showing them this:
I’ve donated to the Lincoln Project a couple to times. They along w/ Meidas Touch & Republican Voters Against Trump (RVAT.org) have put out some amazing videos.
Hope they keep it up until 11/3/2020!
Thanks for the excellent videos, Joanne.
I’d add Nashville and one rural CA county to Mitch’s list on slowing, retreating in response to data…
Nowhere here in CA has approval for tourists yet.
My county OK’d residents with 2nd homes to come (mostly Lake Tahoe area) and that is where our first nursing home health care worker case and close to 50% of our cases are now.
Children are the age group here increasing the fastest–hit 1000 new cases in a day. I think the myths of it not affecting children may have kept them from getting tested as much as they should have been before and now universal testing options are available in a couple of major population centers along with state provided testing centers so no one here has to drive more than 30-60 minutes to get to a test location any more. I celebrate the current totals on CA nursing home residents/workers are staying flat as the state pushes the universal testing (an awful lot of new cases in new counties, different facilities than earlier ones–easy to tell with how State provides the data).
IL made testing open to all who wanted earlier than here, so demand/symptoms, known exposures may be going down as why they had the largest decrease.
NC and SC have hot spots in meat/poultry processing plants like OR. Just read a Whirlpool factory did likewise, too.
I hate the way people are gambling with our lives. So glad they decided to be so comprehensive for you TC and able to arrange so fast.
I may be off base, but it seems to me they are not gambling with our lives, because, to gamble, you must at least care enough to place a bet. And they don’t. What they are doing doesn’t rise to the level of gambling. They have just written us off.
Cartoon: They certainly did.
TVU: Really sad. People aren’t paying attention to the warnings and it continues rising. The news showing people celebrating at the Miami beach, large city streets in front of restaurants, etc. Orange County in CA isn’t requiring masks any longer, so people are flocking the beach. It’s crazy. That’s not to say all of the protesters who are out there with no masks.
BFTP: Great song. I remember the group very well.
Happy to hear that your visit went well. That you’re going to get the additional help you need.
Hope you and Wendy had a good day and got all of your tasks taken care of.
Take care. Thanks TomCat
Hey, TC…I checked in to see how you’re doing and learned you’re the CENTER OF ATTENTION! () That’s GOOD. (Thanks for showing us WWWendy’s pretty face, by the way.) After tomorrow, you’ll be perfect again…right?
I’m glad the nurse identified your situation correctly and that you get all the help you need. Is WWWendy sulking a bit now, soon having to share your attention with three other people? You don’t have to, Wendy, you’ll always come first with TomCat. You’re the best friend he’s ever had.
3:21 My sun set a little slower than yours, TomCat.
Update: A very informative map with decreased, stable/flat and increased cases. Definitely nothing to be happy about just yet.
BFTP: So many memories…a classic.
Thanks, Hugs, And Amen to all!
WWWendy returns all greetings!
