Here is the one hundred seventy-fifth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s winner is Republican PA State Representative Russ Diamond (R-Annville). He is so honored for intentionally trying to murder Democratic state legislators by infecting them with Trump* virus.

0529diamondRep. Brian Sims, a Philadelphia Democrat, went on
Twitter and Facebook last night to share some shocking news. He says a
Republican colleague tested positive for COVID-19 — and no one told the
Democrats who worked on the same committee.
Via MetroWeekly:

Sims, a member of the State Government Committee,
specifically called for the resignation of, and the possible prosecution of, the
member who allegedly tested positive, whom he identified as Rep. Russ Diamond
(R-Annville), as well as Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Marshall Township) and other
Republican leaders, for allegedly conspiring to conceal the fact that GOP
lawmakers had tested positive for COVID-19.

I call this attempted murder, because I can prove intent.  Were Diamond just displaying a normal stupidity level for Republicans, he would not have warned his Republican colleagues that he was infected.  Even worse, his colleagues joined the plot to kill Democrats.  Otherwise, they would have warned the Democrats that Diamond was a walking death trap.  It’s bad enough that Republicans caused the spread of Trump* virus.  Now they’re weaponizing it to commit biological warfare.

  1. How sickening that this even happened!! That’s the R’s for ya! ugh!
Heartfelt and righteous anger, for himself, and for his family and others in the House.
By the by….is there any possibility or way that we can clone Mr. Sims? Possibly tenfold??

  2. I’m for prosecution – as you say, intent can be proven.  I don’t really care whether he resigns or not.  He’s not immune from prosecution for attempted murder (with a lesser included offense of assault with a deadly weapon, and another lesser included offense of attempted assault, just to make sure the DA can prove something so he won’t completely walk),  and having “Pennsylvania State Representative” on the charge sheet and in every news story would be a good thing.

  3. Hypocrisy, thy name is Republican. (Apologies to Shakespeare.)

  4. I guess my earlier comment did not make the cut.  If Biden wins, and goes for bi-partisanship, they’ll probably do the same thing to him.

  5. I agree with your comment, TomCat that it’s attempted murder.
Despicable that this brainless R could even go near any other person in the first place. Every day they say, if you have symptoms, to stay home in quarantine for 14 days.
Yet he acts exactly like his heartless leader who wants to exhibit that they disobey the rules and love stirring up all sorts of dangerous situations. One that could kill many others.

  6. I’ll praise the day that Republicans no longer manage to shock my by now well-hardened system. And that should not be because I’ve become so calloused that I can no longer be shocked but because the GOP has ceased to exist as a political entity and all these Republicans are kicked to the curb where they belong.

  7. States are still prosecuting the laws enacted about spitting, not informing partners, etc., for those who are HIV positive–thus case law supports prosecution for intent to infect.  Exact wording of homicide statute in PA would make a difference on attempted murder charges, which might be harder in PA than some places and their aggravated assault offense might be more appropriate (to the extent this source is correct):http://gambonelaw.com/library/aggravated-assault-vs-attempted-murder/

  8. Thanks and weekend Hugs to all! 15

  9. For some reason the video would not play yesterday for me but it just did.  WOW!!!  Rep Brian Sims did not mince any words!  I agree, prosecute the bastard Republicans!  Unfortunately, if state Republicans hold all the portfolios ie health, law etc, I don’t see that happening.  If it were to come under federal jurisdiction, Barrf heads the DOJ and is in Trump’s pocket so I don’t see any meaningful action.

This is pure, unadulterated bull shit!
