I’m rushing to get to the lobby to wait for the TriMet Lift Bus to come take me to the hospital to be measured for my radiation treatment, Friday.  I’ll try to let you know, when I have returned safely.  Oh God!  It’s Monday!

  1. Cartoon: I remember my dad talking to us at the dinner table about these events happening. He was very worried about this, and he explained why too.
TVU: We are now at 84. 19 recovered, and 2 deaths. Sad.
BFTP: How I wish that folks (and the younger generation(s)) would listen to these words…
Hope that your trip to and fro goes well, and that your appointment goes well too. Take good care, and enjoy the rest of your day. Thanks! Tom.

*This just in: “Can you imagine being so futile you actually believe Trump?” ~ John R. ~

  2. My first thought when I got up, and it will be in my mid all day. With prayer. Best to WWWendy as well.

John Pavlovitz has not lost sight of what the terrorists really want  (And it’s scary what they will do to get it.)

Cartoon – I don’t suppose you are in that picture? You would have ben pretty young.

Map – Goodness, is this for real? Are they counting total active cases, or just new cases? This is jawdropping compared to yesterday’s.

Past – Some people don’t are sbout an issue unless/until it affects them or someone they love. Some people care about an issue because some things shoult not happen to anyone. You can call them Republicans and Democrats, but the dichotomy is true everywhere regardless of politics. The first kind are incapable of listening to this somg in any way that might affect their behavior.

    Great minds.

  3. Hoping, dearly, that your trip went well, today.
The Pavlovitz piece says it like it is.  And provides one explanation for why the Freedom riders were needed.
    TVU does look weird.
The Youngbloods were so good, and the message of this song is so relevant to today’s situation.  But, the same forces that did, and do, maintain bigotry as a sad part of the U.S., continue to militate for separation, economic, and tribal.  And their pawns make believe their name is Rambo!

  4. Thanks, hugs, exhausted, safe! 23

  5. TVU: Don’t quite understand this one very well. Liked the previous ones better. We still continue going upward. Still surprises many states are opening up more.
BFTP: Good tune with a true message. It’s too bad people don’t love one/care about one another. Have to agree with Joanne regarding people don’t care about issues unless it affects ones close to them. We see that daily with tRump practices.
Hope that your appointment goes well. That TriMet Lift Bus was running on time. Also hope that your pain has decreased since yesterday.
    Take care. Thanks TomCat

  6. “Safe” is good, I like that/we like that!
Just for anyone’s amusement (dark humor, due to the “dark” POTUS:  https://www.alternet.org/2020/05/catastrophic-and-ridiculous-journalist-explains-how-trump-got-the-whole-world-laughing-at-him/

  7. Thanks, hugs, rest.

    2:29 It isn’t edible anyway.

Cartoon: they’ll need to ride again.

Update: Have they downscaled the colouring again so it wouldn’t look so bad?

BFTP: We need to sing this again too.

    • Lona, the color (or colour for you) just depends on which map I find on any given day. 08

    • After staring at it for a while, and reading the number key, I came to the conclusion that this one is probebly just deaths, while the others are all active cases.  At least that would make sense.  I didn’t check every number by state.

  8. Glad it turned out OK.

  9. Thanks and painful hugs to all! 26
