As the sham trial of Donald J. Trump Impeached draws to its rigged and foregone conclusion, I felt it would be fitting to draw on it for a few mirthful moments. Because of its outcome, these will be more in the gallows humor range and with more than a soupçon of retribution. And some of the Tweets actually made me laugh out.
We’ll start off with some posters that I found amusing or informative – and the first one is especially for Joanne …
trump could shoot someone in the senate and still get acquitted 53-47. unless he shot a republican, then it would be 52-47.

At the start of his Oval Office occupation Trump claimed he knew only the “best people”. Now that most of them are either under investigation, indicted, convicted or doing time – he now doesn’t know ANY of them – especially Lev Parnas!
Trump has posed for more photos with Lev Parnas than his daughter Tiffany

And his “crack” legal defense team has great difficulty even reading simple words, as demonstrated by Pam Bondi – who only had that one job to do:
Thank you @cspan for all the camera coverage pic.twitter.com/oJBM1hcJDs

And Al Franken poses the perfect question that we all would like answered – with clarification included:
Question for WH counsel: Do you have any evidence that Donald Trump has ever cared about corruption? And by that we mean being AGAINST it? #ImpeachmentTrial

We’ll close out this post with an accurate, pithy summary of what the American people have been subjected to by McConnell & his cronies:

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Aaaw, thanks. I find it bizarre. But would that it were only the White House! I keep seeing the confusion in the media – not just the far-far-right media but also the normal-right media, and the at-least-attempting yo be-factual media, and the liberal media (what little there is of it.)
These are all cute and all on target. Thanks for sharing!
So spot on!
Thanks, Nameless for a great post.
Excellent!
And now McTravesty can go gloat on his “special island” as in the Billy Joel song.
Collins’ vote of yes, as far as I’m concerned, was an orchestrated move, knowing that she’s up for a possibly difficult re-election, but could safely vote “yes,” knowing that it would make no difference; just look good on her resumé.
Thanks, Nameless, for a wonderful collage on the sham trial. We can all laugh about it like the proverbial Dutch farmer with his toothache.
This reads “smiling like a farmer with a toothache”. The Dutch made a special emoji for it because they do this so often. It’s one we can use again tomorrow when the Republicans have acquited Trump, the latter is crowing victory and more gallow humour comes our way.
Keep it up, Nameless, we do so need our laughs even when we need to see a dentist afterwards.
Outstanding.
I still can’t believe that the rotten r’s got away with this evil sham of a trail.
I’m furious with the outcome.
I honestly thought the couple of r’s that were saying they wanted witnesses were going to go that direction.
What changed or we’re they bribed to change their evil minds?
Thanks Nameless
Bribed, threatened, or both.
Amen!
thanks for reminding us there is much dark humor to reduce the stress in these dark days for our constitutional form of government
Thanks for all of them. My favorite was Pam Bondi trying to read.
It’s those tough monosyllabic words that stumped Bondi:
the – trip – was – June – of – he – on – the -board – of – un – til …
