It’s 3:18 PST, and the opera is over, the after-opera opera program is over, I took a long distance phone call, and am now ready to comment.
Monologue – TC, you are forgetting that everything Trump says is “fake news” is in fact real news, and vice versa. So it probably is real hemlock, and Trump can call it fake hemlock, and – well, you get the picture. But it would still be too good for him.
Judd Apatow – Anything at all would be far more than I knew about Garry Shandling.
24 Things – Were there 24? I wasn’t counting but it surely seemed like fewer.
New Rules – It actually makes sense that the world’s most socially awkward person would be in charge of social media. Someone less socially awkward would simply be social. Awkward people are the ones who need media. While I admit I laughed so hard over “and also Clarence Thomas” that I dropped my keyboard, and also that Twitter is no angel, I think a total ban on political advertisin is an excellent idea. That has nothing to do with free speech – it is not limiting the speech of individual members, who are still free to lie. It is also not elimination advertising entorely – advertisers are free to go elsewhere. It’s simply one layer of protection – and relief.
Glad you enjoyed the show.

Bill #2: I never cared much about Garry Shandling, but Judd Apatow seems to have lifted him up a bit by publishing Garry’s journals. I still don’t care enough to read the book, though.
Bill #3: Which Lindsey Graham is he talking about? That man’s mental illness has led to more personalities than Trump has twitter tantrums.
Bill #4: True words, with a humorous undertone, but true nevertheless.

24 things: Some really strange….nothing I’d be proud of.
New Rules: Listening to Bill saying all of the negatives about social media. Sure makes me happy that I never joined Fakebook or any other type of site. Awful to think that the fool running Fakebook allowed all of the political interference that he did.
