It’s another busy day here in the CatBox.  Already very tired from yesterday, I had to prepare and submit my grocery order.  I also prepared our fantasy football report and get my clothing laid out for tomorrow’s GI visit with Gillian, Megan’s PA.  I need to be in the lobby by 7:15 AM.  Therefore, please expect no more than a Personal Update tomorrow.  Hectic hurry hugs to all!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:28 (average 5:32).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Fantasy Football Report:

Here’s the latest from our own fantasy football league.

Scores:

9Scores

Congrats to Vivian, Squatch, and WWWendy for winning their games.  Kudos to WWWendy for the week’s high score.  That Sasquatch sure has my number this year.  I’m 0-2 against her, but this time, I should have kept my big mouth shut, right Squatch?

Standings:

9Standings

Kudos to WWWendy for leading the league.

Short Takes:

From The New Yorker: Escalating his war of words against the person who sparked the impeachment inquiry, Donald J. Trump on Monday accused the whistle-blower of working for the United States of America.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said that he had evidence “directly linking” the whistle-blower to the United States government.

“This is the biggest witch hunt in the history of witches or hunts, and it was all started by someone who was in the pay of the United States,” Trump said. “It’s a disgrace.”

But Andy, isn’t it normal for the whistleblower to work for the principal enemies of Trump and the Republican Reich, the people of United States?  RESIST!!

From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): How A Racist Law Could Decide Mississippi’s Election

“Home government under the control of the white people of the state” was the goal of the Mississippi government, and still is the goal of Mississippi Republicans. Home Government under the control of the rich white Fascists of the nation” is the goal of the Republican Reich.  RESIST!!

From YouTube (a blast from the past): Our House

I hope the two cats in the yard are cuddle kitties for me! Ah… the memories!  RESIST!!

Vote Blue!!

  1. Cartoon: Sad in these times…
Best to those participating to FFL…and to WWW for leading the league!
    NYer: Word, Andy!
MSNBC: Wow! Outdated, and very unfair! Good Lord.
BFTP: One of my favorites, up there with 300 others, lol. thx!
Hope that your hospital visit goes good for you tomorrow. That’s really an early time too. Hope that you get in and out quickly. Take good care, and Thanks, Tom.
*This just in: “Buy American! I did! dt is the best purchase I ever made! – V. Putin –
    2. “The d.t. Presidential Library will be a book cart he pushes around prison with unread copies of the ‘Art of the Deal'”. ~ Middle R. ~
    3. Bumper Sticker seen on truck: ‘Fishing saved me from becoming a porn star, now I’m just a hooker.’
    4. R’s – “Never before have so many with nothing to hide worked so hard to hide so much.” ~ Lisa R. ~

  2. ‘Toon- The nerve of them!
New Yorker:  Oh, does he mean that the whistleblower is working for the entity for which Dumpy is supposed to be working for?
MSNBC: As I understand it, the Supreme Court has elected to let this ridiculous law stand for now, and may revisit it in the future.  There is a book, on my reading list, but as yet not read, called “Hitler’s American Model, the United States and the Making of Nazi Race Law,” by James Q. Whitman.  I fully expect that laws such as that in effect in Miss., are among the examples of American law that the Nazis would have been happy to cite.  It’s reminiscent of Goering’s claim that the Nazis had done nothing different than the U.S.A. had done with the Native Americans!
    CSNY: Lovely!!
Hey, TC, two things: 1- About that wonderful piece you played for us, by the Youngbloods- “Get together,” I just heard the Jefferson Airplane do the same piece.  So, I wondered where it originated, and found that neither group could take credit.  It was written by one Chet Powers, of whom I’d never before heard. 2- Were you ever into “The Incredible String Band?”

  3. 5:18 I would sure be worried if I shared a name with a tiny hamburger.

I hope I’m not stealing this from you for tomorrow. Of course he’s right … but I’m not the one who needs to be convinced.

Cartoon – Slow, isn’t he? I personally wish ALL non-whites would vote (and get the votes counted.) The few likw Michael Steele, Ben Carson, and Henry Cuellar would be massively outvoted by the same ones.

    NYT – Straight news. Sign.

Chris – As I said in response to the cartoon …

Past – I do remember this one. A house can’t be a very fine house without a cat or two, IMO. But these days it’s too dangerous for them in the yard. They need to become indoor cats.

  4. This just in – so is this a protest sign for the ages, or what?

  5. Welcome to Mississippi – please set your watch back 200 years. There is a running joke that Mississippi exists just to make Alabama look good.

  6. Cartoon: You’re damn right they are. They want to have just as much say as everyone else.
NY: tRump is so stupid. Who else would this person be working for???
MSNBC: Despicable. They can tale this outdated law and stick it.
BFTP: Yep, one of my favorite tunes too.
Best of luck with your GI visit tomorrow, TomCat.
Hope you get some rest today. Take care.
    Thanks TomCat

  7. 3:50 Don’t break your teeth on this one, TomCat.

TNY: Your sarcasm is dripping, Any.

MSNBC: “Despite the fact that the gubernatorial voting system [in Mississippi] is pretty clearly unconstitutional, it has not been struck down.” So much for that famous democracy Americans pride themselves on. Or to be more precise, used to pride themselves on only a decade ago.

BFTP: A simple song about simple things (still) evoking simple emotions. Those were the days.

Good luck tomorrow, TomCat. I hope your travels and appointment go well.

  8. Thanks and exhausted hugs to all. 19
