It’s a better day here in the Cat-Box. The Immodium AD got control of my Republicosis. The only lasting effect is that my normal green clouds have turned red and are even more toxic. From The New Yorker: Donald J. Trump asked Kim Jong Un to help dig up dirt on Joe Biden, but Kim said that he was “too busy developing ballistic missiles” to do so, the North Korean dictator confirmed on Thursday.
“I remember getting a call from him about the Biden thing, I want to say in August,” Kim told reporters. “And I was, like, ‘I am super busy developing a new generation of ballistic missiles right now.’ ”
Kim said that he recalled Trump being “very understanding” and saying that he would “try some other countries.”
So, Andy, is this the call on which Trump helped Kim with his nuclear missile development program and called it a major diplomatic victory for himself? RESIST!!

Sojourners is starting a new task force with the goal of equipping participants to respond to the crisis of racialized policing in the DC metro area. I realize it’s a long shot that this will reach someone who is (or wants to be) a faith leader of authentic Christians and also lives in the DC metro area, but someone here may know someone who fits that description. MSNBC – I would be inclined to say “two groups” of whistleblowers. We know that the Ukraine whistleblower is a group. We don’t know about the IRS one, but it’s not impossible. I DON’T WANT THEIR NAMES. I worry about them.

TNY: Right on top of the news, Andy. It is strange indeed that Kim Jung Un has done some serious testing again just days ago and not a peep or tweet out of Donald. Getting China to dig up dirt on Biden is of course much more important.
YT: Knowing Trump’s love of money, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Trump is more worried about this whistleblower and the consequences than about the ‘Ukrainian’ one. In his dementia, Trump may truly think he’s above the law as a president when pushing Ukraine and calling on China to investigate Biden, but he will remember enough from his ‘business days’ to know that interfering with his tax-return audits is an absolute no-no.
