It’s a very busy Day, here in the CatBox.  It’s a WWWendy day, and the rancid TomCat is especially stinky because of high humidity.  Preparing the religious and fantasy reports takes time.  So I’m running a bit behind.  Barring unforeseen circumstances, I’ll be back in the saddle until Sunday.  Happy Hump Day to all.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:32 (average 5:07).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

It’s a sad day when everyone is ahead of me but the Sasquatch, and that because she isn’t really organized yet.

Short Takes:

From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): President Trump Inclined For Turn Away Hurricane Dorian Evacuees

Only the Fuhrer would brag about representing the Republican Reich so accurately! RESIST!!

From The Daily Beast: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell last month blocked a measure that would have used Treasury Department funds marked for Appalachian development to help pay for coal miners’ health care and pensions in his home state of Kentucky.

But just a few months earlier, McConnell successfully steered near-identical Treasury funds for Appalachia to bankroll a Kentucky aluminum plant connected to an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Democrats on Capitol Hill have raised concerns for months about McConnell’s connection to the aluminum plant. It’s one of several reasons why McConnell’s political opponents have tried to stick him with the nickname “Moscow Mitch.” But what’s gone largely unnoticed as the sobriquet has become a social media trending topic is how McConnell worked to keep money out of coal miners’ hands—even as he maneuvered to steer federal funds to the Russian-linked plant.

Bought Bitch Moscow Mitch hates workers, as much as he loves Russia. RESIST!!

From NY Times: The Secretary of Commerce threatened to fire top employees at the federal scientific agency responsible for weather forecasts last Friday after the agency’s Birmingham office contradicted President Trump’s claim that Hurricane Dorian might hit Alabama, according to three people familiar with the discussion.

In the Republican Reich, contradicting the Fuhrer is an unforgivable sin. RESIST!!

Vote Blue!!

  1. OOPS!  It’s not Hump Day and WWWendy day isn’t until tomorrow!  If only I knew what day it is. 16

  2. MSNBC: NO BOTTOM, ONLY MORE LIES…MAKES ME SAD TO NOT BELIEVE IN A HELL!
DB: A perfect foil for the Empty Orange, another traitorous bastard, with, apparently, no bottom!
NYT: Wilbur Ross…more of the same.  Scum is attracted to scum!

  3. 5:36 Tied up again today.

Cartoon – I do remember the original TV dinners. These days I make my own, microwavable ones – with things I am not allergic to. I don’t use them often, but they’re handy for traveling and/or in a pinch.

Dorian – Nameless has a slideshow for this. Perhaps he’ll put it in a comment here.

DB – There has to be an epithet for this behavior – besides “Grim Reaper Mitch,” although that might work. I’ll think about it.

NYT – Because of course he did. How did they put it at Daily Kos? Something like “Wilbur Ross earned his Junior Dictator Decoder Ring this week.”

    • TJI #2. “Our laws allows ALL Citizens of the Bahamas to enter the US by plane. With VISA on arrival.
But in this case, Fed agents went out of their way to enforce the law so that only those w/visas
could enter by boat. So…you had to go to the embassy before Dorian, get a VISA and then almost die in the
storm. Then go back for your passport if you didn’t think of packing it on your person. Then…go get on the
boat.” “Now…..See how easy those steps are?” ~ Mayda C.C. ~

  4. Cartoon: We very rarely ate these, as they were considered a treat on a weekend night. They were actually pretty good back then, but, I don’t know how they are now, as I don’t buy them.
RA: I feel your pain, we lost by 2 too…28 Texans – 30 New Orleans! ugh!
MSNBC: So depressing, so very, very sad for these people!
    DB: Sick, sick, sick!!! basturd!
NYT: omg, now that’s funny, Joanne! I’m sure he’s mighty happy with showing it off too…. lol

No worries about the wrong day, I usually forget more than that, in the course of a day. Hope that you have a good rest of your day, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

*This just in: “dt will visit Alabama communities hard-hit by Dorian next week before hiking the Tallahassee Trail to the top of Mt. Covfefe where he’ll lay a wreath in honor of the victims of the Bowling Green Massacre.” ~Henry W. ~

  5. JD: Your wish is my command:

WRT Bahamian refugees who’ve lost everything, where Trump believes he sees “some very bad gang members and some very, very bad drug dealers”, I see loving parents fighting to protect their most precious possession — their  children …

  6. Cartoon:  I was an infant when they first brought them out. Didn’t remember seeing them around much. Mom always cooked from scratch. Now that I’m older, I’ve tried a few, but never bought them again.
MSNBC: He does it every time there is some sort of disaster in another country/state. He treats people like they are all villains. He’s a heartless bas*ard. How would he like another country to do the same to him and his family??
DB: Ditto Pat and Mitch’s comments.
It has been a long day. Running late, due to appointments. More tomorrow. That’s where I can get confused on what day it is.
Hope you’re day went well, that you have a good Hump day.
    Take care.

  7. 3:23 Must be a pretty flashy yacht with ropes like that.

Cartoon: Never made it in the Netherlands, I think.

MSNBC: If I understood one of the people interviewed in the Bahamas correctly, some of those bad people, gangsters and drug traffickers, are people who have fled Haiti after their island was devastated by hurricanes. I have no words for Trump brushing these people off like dandruff on his shoulder. And yet feel the need to lie about that dandruff and insult it.

DB: When I think I’ve reached my daily quota with Trump dumping on refugees from the Bahamas, but apparently I had some room left to be absolutely disgusted with Mitch McConnell. And with all the people who enable both of them.

NYT: Did I ever mention I think America is turning into a fascist state?

  8. MSNBC — Would someone please deport Dolt 45 to some ravaged island so the country could be rid of him.  I know, I know . . . it will never happen, but it should.  So much for American values . . . only if you are white do you qualify.  What bullshit!  People are people and are all the same on the inside . . . well except Trump who is, as Mitch says, “his emptiness”.

Daily Beast — When Trump’s day of reckoning comes, Moscow Mitch should be right there beside him . . . “swinging from the same tree”.  Let the two go to prison together for treason.

NY Times — Fascism is indeed alive and well in the US Lona.

Cartoon — And after that, Swanson went to “Hungry Man” dinners for the larger appetite. Yech!!!

  9. Thanks and Hump Day Hugs to all! 🐪
