Sam – Act 1 – “Animated” was not something he wanted to be, or should have been. He probably wanted to project authority and honesty. I think the honesty parly came through, maybe the authoroty not so much.
Act 2 – I haven’t finished this Daily Kos “diary” yet, but just based on the little I have gotten to, I think it’s worth a look. And, yes, they are working hard to split “moderate” from “progressive” Democrats. And, sadly, I am seeing some success. But there are two things that give me hope – first, that we are now foreworned about them. Second, that thet haven’t had 25+ years to pre-sabotage any of our candidates – yet.
Act 3 – Damn. Someone’s slicing onions in here.
What did I miss in Act 3? I take it from your “Someone must be slicing onions” you found something sad in Act 3. They had a little snippet of a wedding – but not enough to make someone cry, I don’t think.
(PS: Agreed that it looks like fun – but I’m not sure I’d go swimming in that water.)
I found it so touching that two towns can get along like that – and so sad that it may be the last time, “thanks” to bitter, cruel Republican Americans. The lump in the throat was already built up; the wedding only had to touch the button lightly.
The right can gloat over the Mueller business all they like. We progressives can get the last laugh at their expense by backing truly progressive candidates and effecting a major Blue Wave in 2020 – one that sweeps tRump’s orange arse out of the Oval Office. Then who will be snarking whom?
Meanwhile, we need to figure out how we can separate the wheat from the foreign troll chaff. It isn’t enough to improve the security of our Internet services and voting machines – hoi polloi need to know how to spot divisive tweets and memes. We can be an extra firewall in a way. Makes you wonder when Sonofabitch McConnell blocks all election security and anti-foreign interference bills. Unnecessary and redundant? Male bovine excrement! If we did have proper security measures in place, we wouldn’t have had our Worst POTUS Ever in the White House!
We are all descended from immigrants. Even the First Nations/Native Americans are descended from immigrants in a way – humans are not native to the Americas. Love the Fiesta Protesta!

What bugs me is the fact that the mItch the bi*ch and his buddies stuck down the bill for strengthening election security. Idiots.

Sam 🐝🐝: After four years of Russian trolling, and most Trump-followers sounding like they went to school with those trolls, it’ll be terribly hard torecognise them this election. After all, Trump and cronies have completely normalized trolling and certainly aren’t going to do anything about Russian interfering when it’s the reason they exist.
Sam 🐝🐝🐝”: Fiesta Protesta looked innocent and fun enough, but it may well be the last time it was held. Sadly, that may also be due to giving it press-coverage and drawing nation-wide attention to it. Now Border Patrol can no longer look away and pretend it’s not happening.
