From The New Yorker: Vice-President Mike Pence has requested that Jesus Christ rapture him up before the special counsel Robert Mueller can indict him, a source close to Pence confirmed on Friday.
Shortly after the former national-security adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the F.B.I., Pence contacted Jesus to discuss the early rapture proposal, the source said.
The source characterized Pence’s request to be raptured up as “urgent” but did not indicate whether the Vice-President asked Jesus to rapture up any other senior Administration officials.
Dang Andy! Mueller has no indictment for Pence. Also, Republicans don’t rapture. They crapture in a down direction. RESIST!!

PSA: I’m not even going to try to get an Erinyes up today. No one will see anything serious except the Special Counsel report. I’ll just throw this out:
It is sobering that in 2017, there were 144 police officers who died in the line of duty and about 1,000 active duty military throughout the world who died, whereas 2,462 school-age children were killed by firearms.
MSNBC – Now is a very good time for us to keep in mind That the Mueller investigation is not, and never was, the only investigation. I believe California just opened another one. And Congress now has teeth.
Other PP – Absolutely straight. Sort of like Andy, with straight news.
TNY – I know I’ve said this before, but some days I wish they just WOULD all get raptured so the rest of us can set about rebuilding the world as a nicer place.

MSNBC: Mueller has done the groundwork, now it’s down to others to continue the investigations down the paths that he’s uncovered. Investigations leading to more convictions will mostly be done in Drumpf’s home town New York. Drumpf’s circle is all too eager to cry “No collusion”, but that remains open until we all see the full report. Bahr spoke of “no more indictments” (i.e. by Mueller), but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot in the report to impeach Drumpf on, should Congress want to do so.

TNY: LOL Andy, I noticed that you have Pence asking to be raptured just for himself and not any of the other Talibangelist Republicans. What an egotist; I’m sure Mike Pompeo could do with some rapturing:

MSNBC — All this drama with Trump is like a gigantic iceberg. The part that is above the water, the part that everyone sees and is concerned about, is the collusion question. Of course, Trump wails about the collusion like a wounded bull elephant wails at a hunter but that is likely just to keep people from looking at the really dangerous part of the iceberg, the part below the water which is the biggest part of the iceberg. That part is the fraud, the obstruction of justice, the campaign finance irregularities etc ad nauseam. As Chuck Rosenberg said, that is still in the wings with more investigations to come.
