I suppose there’s no reason not to appreciate Presidents we USED to have. Such as Lincoln, Roosevelt, Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Carter, Obama. (I also have a soft spot for J. Q. Adams, but it’s based on things he did when he wasn’t President, and I don’t really know what he was like as a President. I do know he was given to us by the Electoral College, which may have been the last – or only – good thing it ever did.)

Wouldn’t it be marvellous if all Americans who deplore Drumpf (>60%) followed in your footsteps, TomCat, and just ignored the imposter? It would send him ballistic, and goodness knows what he’d do, but it probably would be worth it.
