The nation’s Intel chiefs are tasked with assessing and reporting threats to our national security, so the President and executive branch can align our policies to meet and defeat those threats. That’s how the system is supposed to work. But what happens, if the so-called President is really only a Resident, who completely ignores their analysis in favor of what he wants to believe? The DNI’s Worldwide Threat Assessment shows Trump is just that Resident, and that bases our national security on BS.
Did you know that “Russia’s social media efforts will continue to focus on aggravating social and racial tensions, undermining trust in authorities, and criticizing perceived anti-Russia politicians” as part of a broader effort “to influence US policy, actions, and elections”?
Or that North Korea “is unlikely to give up all of its WMD stockpiles, delivery systems, and production capabilities,” because “North Korean leaders view nuclear arms as critical to regime survival”?
Or that Iran is abiding by its nuclear deal, even though the United States pulled out, and that it “is not currently undertaking the key nuclear weapons-development activities”?
Or that the Islamic State “still commands thousands of fighters in Iraq and Syria” and around the world, and that it “will exploit any reduction in CT [counterterrorism] pressure to strengthen its clandestine presence and accelerate rebuilding key capabilities”?
Or that global warming is contributing to intensifying “climate hazards such as extreme weather, higher temperatures, droughts, floods, wildfires, storms, sea level rise, soil degradation, and acidifying oceans”?
If you are a regular reader of The Post — or, dare I say it, the New York Times — none of this will come as a surprise to you. If this is all news to you, congratulations. You’re the president of the United States…

The words “Donald Trump” and “analysis” do not even belong in the same sentence. They are utterly incompatible.
In case anyone missed it, Orange Judas tweeted upon being informed of the facts that our intelligence personnel are “naive.” At least it went out under his account. Personally, I don’t believe he can spell it.

Of particular note, the experts mentioned Climate Change as a threat to our country – but NOTHING about our southern border. Something Rep. Adam Schiff intends to use to block any attempt by Twitler to declare a “National Emergency” to build his wall.

I agree with Mitchell with what has happened. Our country supposedly elected a clown and all that has been happening ever since is one very bad circus act after another.
Shameful what he has done to our country. Even making enemies with all other foreign leaders we were friends with before he stepped in and ruined it all.
Like I have mentioned before he’s like a real life Satan out to destroy everyone and everything in his path.
So we had an independent – even with Wray and Haspel – group of intelligence chiefs giving their assessment before the Senate Intelligence Committee which contradicts Drumpf on every major point and doesn’t even mention the Mexican-American border as being under threat but does point out Global Warming as a major threat. That they contradict Drumpf isn’t really a surprise, that they had the courage and integrity to do so is.
The one question that now remains is: What is the Republican Senate Intelligence Committee going to do with it? Will the Republican majority in the Senate force the committee to downplay the assessment and follow Drumpf’s in his rhetoric as before? If they can read the writing on the wall and show any sense, they won’t. But as they haven’t shown any sense up to this point, I don’t expect differently this time.
That won’t happen when they appear before the House Intelligence Committee.
The only friend that Drumpfenfarten has is Pinocchio, and even he is lying so he can keep his job!
Interesting that the IC considers climate change a threat to national security, but not the border with Mexico. Of course that is completely different to Drumpfenfarten! So who are you to believe . . . the IC or Drumpfenfarten? My money is on the IC. Drumpfenfarten is so full of shit that his eyes are brown.
