I got my blood test results last night. It’s A-1 prime. Tomorrow I will post Samantha Bee’s Christmas Special. After that, I expect things to slow down for Christmas, or if you are a Republican, for the Holidays. So, if I only have one article or do not send a links message, you will know why. If you are traveling, please take every precaution to keep yourself safe. You are too valuable to waste.

Short Takes:
From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): President Trump Infidelity To Allies Drives Jim Mattis To Resign In Protest (22 min.)
Fidelity is a word the Fuhrer does not know. “Mad Dog” was the sanest person left in the White House. Nobody else the has the balls to challenge Putin’s Pervert. RESIST!!
From CNN: Democratic Sen. Jeff Merkley is joining forces with a Republican congressman to stop Agriculture Department researchers from euthanizing kittens used in their work.
Merkley told CNN he introduced on Wednesday a Senate version of the KITTEN Act — officially, the “Kittens in Traumatic Testing Ends Now Act of 2018.”
“The USDA breeds up to 100 kittens a year, feeds them parasite-infected meat in order to have the parasite’s eggs harvested for use in other experiments, and then kills the kittens,” Merkley said. “This bill would essentially stop this process.”
I’m proud that my Senator is fighting the Republicans that hate kittens. Oregon leads the way! RESIST!!
From The New Yorker: Capping an extraordinary 2018, Donald J. Trump announced on Thursday that he had been named Man of the Year by the terrorist organization known as isis.
Trump made the announcement after receiving the news from the leader of isis, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, whom Trump called “a terrific, fabulous guy.”
“I got along great with him, and he said a lot of nice things about me,” Trump said. “He said isis didn’t even consider anyone else.”
Andy, that’s obvious. When ISIS has a traitor in the White House, they have no need to consider anyone else. RESIST!!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
The tRump regime was probably doomed to come apart at the seams from the get-go.
Bright blessings on Merkley for his stance on behalf of kittens!
Barbecued venison? Yummy! (But seriously, folks.)
MSNBC: Love Rachel, and her analogies. ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis did the sanest thing by resigning. I’m surprised he worked this long, considering how bad this administration is. I wish him well in his endeavors. btw…dt gave Putin an early Christmas present by handing over Syria. ugh! Not good, Yeah, buckle up, Buttercup!
CNN: Bless Mr. Merkley for doing this! Wish my state showed some compassion over this.
NYer: Good grief! He’d bask on stage, and trip over his words, exulting in the gory glory, for sure!!
Cartoon: Oh! ick!
Glad that your blood work was excellent! Enjoy your evening, take good care, and Thanks, Tom.
*This just in: dt: “We don’t want other Leaders and other countries laughing at us anymore.” Then resign.
~Hank G. ~
MSNBC: I love how Rachel breaks things down.
CNN: Good for Senator Merkley. There is no reason to do this to kittens except to be sadistic.
NYer: I agree Pat. Dumpy would think this was the best thing to happen in his life.
I’m glad your Blood work was A-1 prime. Merry Christmas! ??
Joyous for you TC!
i’m waiting on bloods too, but i don’t think i’ll be as lucky as you!
Prayers your way!
4:26 The bobble was the easy part.
Rachel – I notice the date for his departure has been given as the end of February. That gives Democrats at least a little time to get started before the only sane person in the White House (always excepting the housekeeping, cooking, and gardening staff) is gone. Even in resigning he is doing his best to protect the nation.
CNN – Jeff is amazing. He has been at the border this week and has some choice to say about imprisoned children. Yet he also managed to do this. Can we clone him?
TNY – Dang, Andy. More straight news.
Cartoon – You’ve been reading Lona’s stories about Chrissie in Oz, haven’t you? (Though you don’t have to be a Republican to barbecue for Xmas there, and the barbies are MUCH more sanitary.)
Housekeeping note: Erinyes will not be up until tomorrow late afternoon (and it might even be Sunday.) Granted that I am dragging, but vehicle issues and computer issues are also dragging me.
Prayers your way, for fast resolution of those issues.
Thanks!
YvW!
3:36 (average 5:11) Have a festive Holiday
MSNBC: I think Americans tend to forget that most allies were dragged into the wars in the Gulf area by previous presidents either under false pretences (weapons of mass destruction) or enormous diplomatic preasure which, once joined, forced them to stay on, often at the expense of allied leaderships. Drumpf now pulling out American troops from Syria and Afghanistan without consulting his own military advisers, or just ignoring them, let alone the allies stationed in those countries, has only confirmed once more to those allies that America is completely untrustworthy. And now the only grown-up in the White House has left, they also know there’s no one to stop him from further madness. But this time, America will have to go the distance on its own, now Drumpf has left his allies in both a military and trade-war pickle. America will have to be great all on its own.
CNN: On behalf of a 100 kittens a year: Kudos to Jeff Merkley!
TNY: On 14 June 2016, several Middle Eastern media outlets claimed that al-Baghdadi had been killed in a U.S. air strike in Raqqa on 12 June. Drumpf can’t find anyone alive to make him man of the year, so he has to resort to a dead terrorist leader. And probably blame Obama for that too.
Cartoon: Our Santa isn’t a Republican!
MSNBC – Yes. While I am in favor in general of bringing home troops who never should have been there in the first place, there are still right ways and wrong ways to do that, and this is a wrong way.
“The last temptation is the greatest treason,/To do the right thing for the wrong reason.” – T.S.Eliot, Murder in the Cathedral
I agree with JD. While I favor withdrawal, Trump is not coordinating with our allies and leaving their troops exposed without support to help get them out too.
Is your Santa a conservative, a so-called “liberal” or a democratic socialist?
MSNBC: I also liked Rachel’s take of the matters that are going on. Really sad what tRump has caused, especially with Mattis resigning. Shameful that these experience military men have to even deal with tRump who know nothing in so many ways.
CNN: Bless Sen. Jeff Merkley for his kindness.
TNY: Right on as usual Andy.
Cartoon: My Santa isn’t repug either.
Dateline: White House
Headline: Sec. of Defense James Mattis Resigns
Summary: The last adult has left the building!
Good for Sen. Merkley!
Thanks all. Busy hugs!
Puzzle — 3:33 Merry Christmas!
MSNBC — Trump is a rabid dog! When a rabid dog bites, it spreads the virus. He needs to be terminated before he screws the country and the world even more. I am not advocating violence but rather impeachment or other non violent method of removal. The country can’t wait another 2 years for the next election!
CNN — That is 100 precious little souls murdered for what? Totally sadistic! If the USDA wants to do such research, let them infect Republicans and do us all a favour! AMEN Jeff Merkley! There will definitely be no coal in your Christmas stocking!
The New Yorker — There’s the key — “…he said a lot of nice things about me,” Trump said.” Trump is so shallow, so narcissistic. This is part of Trump’s alternate reality.
Cartoon — Should be “barbecue a Bagger for Christmas!” Just don’t eat it unless you have a year’s supply of Pepto Bismol!
Sorry I am late. I could not get my computer to accept my comments . . . in fact I could not type. After all else failed like checking the connections, I unplugged the keyboard, waited 2 minutes and then plugged it in and voilà! Exceptional news on the blood front! Keep it up and stay healthy!
Unplugging and replugging the keyboard makes perfect sense … if you use a corded one. I don’t. For me it would likely be a battery change (or defenestration, if a laptop.) Compared to mouse batteries, theough, keyboard ones last forever (it’s the same batteries – usually AA – just that the mouse eats them faster, which I guess also makes perfect sense if you think about it.)
