SNL – That was so over the top it was painful. It was painfully accurate by SNL’s standard of accuracy, which is not to show what people are doing and saying, but to show what they would be doing and saying if we could see inside them. Is it just me, or was the studio audience muted too?
MSNBC – And yet this shows conclusively that organizing like we’ve never organized before is our only chance.
C&L – Is it just me, or are the accusers exponentially more dignified and articulate than the so-called dignified Senate (and Court, pace Ruth, Sonia, and Elena)?
Cartoon – Although I’ve been told, and it may be true, that there is a basis in reality for even the most primitive (and downright weird) of myths … I sure would love to know what the basis was for the myth of the vagina dentata. Maybe it’s time to bring that back.

While maybe not common, it’s not that rare for females to have vaginal dermoid cysts. And like all dermoid cysts, they can contain elements originating from the dermal layer – so they frequently contain hair, fingernails and teeth.
I had an adolescent male who happen to have a pilonidal cyst (a dermoid cyst at the tail of the coccyx bone). And when I told him on removal of the cyst it might very well have teeth in it, he responded, “That’d be a real bite in the ass, wouldn’t it?”
Now there’s a doctor-patient relationship made in heaven. Is it common for people with pilonidal cysts at the coccyx to be witty? I’ve only known one, a woman who made the anesthetist stop so she could ask the surgeon one last very important question before the procedure: “Will you still respect me in the morning?”
Now I don’t know about all that medical stuff, but I know pussies have teeth. TomCats are pussies, and I have three.

Getting out the progressive vote is VITAL! Losers don’t make policy – I need to hammer that home. We have seen over the last two awful years just what happens when one party, and in particular one incompetent psychopath, controls government. However, a Blue Wave is not enough UNLESS we elect truly progressive Democrats, not just GOP-Lite DINOs. Even if we win back Democrat majorities in the House and Senate, those victories will be for naught unless we can drag the Democratic Party kicking and screaming and crying for mommy back to its progressive roots.
SNL: Can’t see, but I doubt if I would be amused despite the exceptional parody SNL will undoubtedly have delivered.
MSNBC: Protesters were at least able to vent their anger, but the four justices appointed by a Democrat can’t do that. Protocol prescribes them to be cordial to all their colleagues and do their job as well as possible even though they know little resembling justice will come out of their court for a long time to come. Unless Kavanaugh is impeached, a notion they may only secretly entertain. I hope for America’s sake all four have the strength to bear the frustration and remain in office until Drumpf is replaced by a Democrat in 2020.

MSNBC — There have been a number of articles online talking about another American civil war. While slavery was the catalyst for the last civil war, the hyper partisan division of the US is perceived to be the catalyst for the new civil war. I guess we can thank Republicans and Diaper Don for that. DD made a promise to unite the nation during the campaign, but has failed miserably. And of course, the attack on an independent judiciary by Republicans is just the latest nail in the American democracy coffin. No administration is perfect — it can’t be because it is made up of fallible people — but Diaper Don does not have an administration but a régime verging on fascist. With a stacked SCOTUS of right wingers, fascism is more likely to become the norm. God help the US as it politically descends into madness!

I’m back. My brother left this morning so things are slowly returning to normal. It has been an emotional and busy few days. I think the fur babes are glad that we can get back to a regular routine. Today is Canadian Thanksgiving so the kids are going to have fresh roasted white meat chicken. Happy Thanksgiving!
