A new month is upon us, and we have a few cool days here in the CatBox. I’m tired, because WWWendy, who sends greetings, and I were up late last Night doing chores. Tonight, my Broncos play the Chiefs in Denver on Monday Night Football. May the holy Ellipsoid Orb bless my Broncos. (They’ll need it!) OGIM!

Short Takes:
From YouTube (CNN Channel): Trump mocks Dianne Feinstein over Ford’s letter
Barf Bag Alert!!
A pervert perverting justice to defend a pervert. RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!
From The Oregonian: Portland police are investigating a police shooting early Sunday in downtown Portland that left a Portland man dead.
The Police Bureau has released few details about the shooting, but social media from relatives and friends of the victim are filled with “R.I.P.” messages for the family of a 27-year-old man named Patrick Kimmons, known as “Pat Pat.”

The building you see with the Starbucks is mine, and all this happened in full view of my window, which you can see when it pans. By the time I was aware of it, they were already removing the body. Even at 5:00 PM, WWWendy had to park several blocks away. She explained that she is a caregiver, so she got a police escort to my building to be allowed into the area. Police say it was gang related. RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!
From NY Times: The F.B.I. moved on Sunday to quickly complete an abbreviated investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, even as Democrats demanded more information about the inquiry’s scope, warning that its apparent constraints could make it a “farce.”
As agents conducted their review, which involves interviewing four potential witnesses, a college professor in North Carolina became the latest in a series of former Yale classmates of Judge Kavanaugh’s to accuse him of giving untruthful testimony by minimizing his use of alcohol when he was a student.
The professor, Chad Ludington, said he frequently saw Judge Kavanaugh “staggering from alcohol consumption” during their student years. He said he planned to tell his story to the F.B.I. at its office in Raleigh, N.C., on Monday. A spokesman for the White House declined to comment on Mr. Ludington’s allegations.
It may be that a limited investigation might be all that’s needed to, but if it’s a farce, we can only hope that Flake, Collins, and Murkowski refuse to goose-step without a real investigation. RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!
Late Update: The restrictions on the investigation have been lifted, because Flake and Collins insisted.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
7:17 Pretty. A little too orange, though.
DiFi – Dianne Feinstein knows how to do a LOT of things which Traitor Tot has no clue how to do – and one of those is to respect a constituent’s request – in this case for anonymity. That made the letter damned difficult for DiFi to handle. SHE, unlike some others, did the right thing at every point concerning confidentiality. And that certainly does not mean that I always agree with her – I don’t.
Oregonian – Oh, TC, I am so sorry. May he indeed rest in peace. May everyone involved directly or peripherally find appropriate closure.
NYT – Chris Coons is a Democrat, so he’d be a no vote anyway, but he seems to be cooperating with this group. Not sure what that has to do with anything. He also went to Yale and Yale Law, so there’s that.
Cartoon – That must have been quite a moment!
For no good reason I have received e-mails from some conservative groups about the Kava-nah business, and they have been incredibly nasty. The people who write this crud are nothing but yes-men (and -women) for the GOP Powers That Be. They’d grovel before the likes of Stalin and Hitler if those fiends were Republican leaders.
That’s how they operate, from a place called “Nasty!”
YouTube: Couldn’t hear it well enough. But, seeing him made me want to “barf” anyway. In Diane’s opening statement was excellent compared to Grassley’s crass partisan opening statement. Diane is lots smarter than Grassley and I am certain that she did not leak any info.
The Oregonian: Sorry to hear about the man who was murdered.
NYT: I heard that several witnesses have not been contacted earlier this AM. Let’s not forget that the head of the FBI was appointed by Drumpf which should tell you something.
Cartoon: Maris made history with the “61st” home run in the old short baseball season. I don’t follow baseball but not sure of the records these days.
.
BBA: What shameful behavior and words emanating from this man. I have more faith in Ms. Feinstein than him, that’s for sure.
Oregonian: How sad. Violence knows no boundaries, nor skin color, nor whether one is a man, woman, child. May he Rest in Peace, and condolences to his family/community.
NYT: Seems quite a few are stepping up to give their statements re: Kava, and it’s not a pretty picture either.
Cartoon: WOW!!

We won vs. Colts 37-34, it was a nail biter to the end too! Best to your guys tonight. Hope that you have a good evening, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

CNN: Dumpy mocks anyone whose actions, or words, go against his grain…that’s what he does. He apparently, earlier today, came out with hints that he has some dirt against a Dem. senator, just like the spiteful lille boy he is!
Oregonian: Ouch!
NYT: Hoping, against hope, that this puts the lid on this execrable, slimy, clown’s wish for a seat at the center of government!
‘Toon: I might have seen the game on TV, but I don’t recall! TC rocks!
Sorry to hear about the tragedy in your neighborhood. But I’m glad Wendy got a police escort.
Maybe I missed it, but you at one time said you were looking into the possibility of another apartment. Has there been any progress in that regard?
I’m still waiting, Nameless. They have to move me, but they have to find a place that maintains my quality of life.
CNN: Drumpf has nothing else but mockery; no proof, only insinuations and terrible imitations to which he has to put a name for the simpletons in the hall to understand who he’s mocking. It’s sad to see his B-grade act and realize he can’t even do that well, but it’s even sadder to see that his hard core followers are happy enough with such low-level entertainment.
Oregonian: So sorry for the young man who died. I gather you didn’t hear the shot between the gang, as the police implied nor the fatal shoot-out between Patrick Kimmons and the police, so I’m glad you weren’t a witness to this bloodshed, TomCat. Just knowing that it happened right before your window is shocking enough, I would think.
NYT: As I mentioned right from the start, the scope of the FBI investigation and the fact that Drumpf has purged the FBI was a worry. We’ll now have to wait to see what’s in their report to see if it was a farce or not.
Puzzle — 5:04 That red is the colour of my street!
CNN — “A pervert perverting justice to defend a pervert.” — Indeed!
Diaper Don said:
If ever there was projection, that’s it! Those words are anathema to the Republicans! Oh, BTW, mocking Diane Feinstein who has 100 times more integrity in her pinky finger than Diaper Don has in his entire body, is inexcusable but so normal for Diaper Don.
Oregonian — So very sad! When will this mayhem end? I hope justice will prevail, whatever that justice looks like. It is likely too early to know.
NY Times — I have read several pieces about other people coming forward, much of it about Kavanope’s history of drinking and being a mean aggressive drunk. But the original request from Diaper Don for a one week limited scope investigation may have been undone by DD himself. This from AlterNet:
The Tantrum Tot is a menace! The Kavanope affair is certainly a scandal of monumental proportions. So Diaper Don knows the best people, eh!
Cartoon — I have never been one to follow baseball but I do know who Maris was. My grandfather followed baseball religiously . . . I caught him watching a game on the CBC in French one day. He did not understand one word of French but he did understand baseball. He almost played pro baseball around 1910 but thought better of it.
I see you whopped my butt in FF! You just couldn’t have pity on a poor defenceless sasquatch could you!
Defenseless as a buzz saw!
I suppose even a buzz saw could be defenseless if it isn’t turned on.
Sasquatches do not have an off switch!!
Thanks all. Hugs!
