I’m still feeling tired and pretty queasy. WWWendy is due ten minutes from now to de-stink me, and I’m a VERY stinky TomCat! I’ll finish this afternoon. All work done. WWWendy said Hi. I’m pooped.

Short Takes:
From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): The Power of Black Women
JD has been telling us that for ages! RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!
From Politico: Days before President Donald Trump embarked on a North Korea summit meant to solve one nuclear crisis, Iran hinted at another.
The Islamic Republic announced last week that it has expanded its ability to enrich uranium, a key ingredient for nuclear weapons. The move came just weeks after Trump abruptly quit the Barack Obama-era deal that largely dismantled Iran’s nuclear program, and it could be a first step toward an eventual Iranian dash to a nuclear bomb.
Iran probably didn’t time its move to throw a stink bomb into Tuesday’s summit in Singapore between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, experts say. But the news served as a vivid reminder of how the troubled Iran nuclear deal will haunt Trump’s talks with Kim.
The North Koreans are certainly watching.
“In my informal conversations with North Korean officials they have consistently brought up the Iran deal,” said Suzanne DiMaggio of New America, who, like many North Korea analysts, occasionally engages in unofficial discussions with the country’s representatives.
I said it at the time. When Trump violated the Iran deal, he showed Kim he won’t keep a deal with North Korea either. RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!
From Think Progress: \Kris Kobach’s effort to upend the way Americans vote has suffered another setback.
The Kansas Secretary of State has been hard at work trying to expand upon his fatally flawed Crosscheck program, which he cooked up following the 2016 election, after President Trump made totally baseless claims of voter fraud as the reason he lost the popular vote.
Kobach has used Trump’s bogus claim as a rationale to bring voter suppression to the whole country, has been marred with security breaches, risky data management, and embarrassment. But Indiana isn’t joining in — at least, not for now.
U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt blocked Indiana from trying to enforce a law passed in 2017 that would have allowed state election officials to kick people off the voter rolls if they were flagged by the Interstate Crosscheck Program.
A small win for the good guys and gals! RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!

MSNBC: So true. Great video. I see that power rising up even more! Shirley Chisholm stood up, and was one of the pioneering and founding members of the Black Caucus. Respect!! (Aretha!)
Politicio: He’s not a ‘Deal’ maker. I’m hoping for a miracle for dismantling NK’s nuclear program, but I’m not holding my breath either.
TP: I’ll take Good News any day!!
Cartoon: LOL !!
HI, Wendy!! Boy, you sound like you’ve got a bug of some sort. Sure hope that you start feeling better soon. In the meantime, get your rest, have a relaxing evening, take good care, and Thanks, Tom.
Shirley, and Brooklyn, rock!
4:39 Fast little twerps.
New ad from VoteVets – short and NOT sweet.
MSNBC – THANK YOU! Yes, yes, yes! Downloading and forwarding.
Politico – Hardly the only deal he’s violated, either. Not that prior Presidents, even the best, have been much better … is there any treaty with any native tribe that hasn’t been broken by the US?
TP – Oooooh! I’ll bet Mike Pence is clutching his pearls!
Cartoon – Hence the Scopes court case. Which we lost. But there are plenty new textbooks too. Check this out –
MSNBC: More Power to THEM!
Politico: Dumpy does not need to prepare for this visit, he has said, he’s “…been preparing all my life.” I’m going to have trouble not holding my breath!
TP: Kobach for jail!
‘Toon: TC, that’s not very polite to our not-quite-human relatives!
Joanne, that ad is simply priceless! But, where were they last time the turtle ran for office?
YT: Here in Georgia I am supporting Stacey Abrams for Governor. She comes across as intelligent and in touch with the people. She ain’t perfect, but I am sure she is our best choice. Also, if elected, she will make history as the first black female governor of ANY U.S. state. Also, remember that black women were key in making sure Doug Jones beat that bugnut Roy Moore.
Politico: If the US hadn’t bowed out of the nuclear deal, Iran would be a decade away from being able to make a nuke. And if the North Koreans are watching, and willing to make a deal – head for the hills.
TP: Granted, it is necessary to strip names from voter lists because people do move, or die. However, that Crosscheck program is not the way to do it. Good for Judge Pratt, proving that Indiana does have some intelligent residents! (Speaking of intelligence, the Mensa Annual Gathering is going to be in Indianapolis this year.)
Cartoon: Today is a national holiday for reich-wingers. 😉
From Joanne’s link;
“In science books, evolution is derided and students are told that Noah likely brought baby dinosaurs aboard his ark during the Biblical flood.”“Students who have learned science in this kind of environment are not prepared for college experiences,” a biology teacher from the University of Central Florida told the Sentinel after reviewing the books. “They would be intellectually disadvantaged.”WOW!!!
Power to Black Women ✊ SOLIDARITY!
One of Georgie’s better days : ))
Goodbye McConnell ya *sshole!
MSNBC: Politicians still don’t understand that black women are the driving forces in their communities and their vote is one of many because they bring everyone in and around their household to the voting booth. Kudos to those women and more power to them!
Politico: The “greatest deal-maker in history” has yet to show he can broker a deal, any deal. For now he has only polished his reputation as deal-breaker and everyone except his administration seems to be aware of that, North Koreans (and Chinese) included. I think the the only reason why Drumpf is willing to talk with Kim Jong Un is the carrot of a Nobel Peace prize dangling in front of his nose. As soon as he feels that’s no longer an option, he’ll want to show the world what great deal-maker he is anyway by walking away from the table, just as he has threatened to do in case things weren’t going his way. He couldn’t care less about adding another enemy to his long, long list. One more thing to tweet about and distract from Mueller and nasty GOP bills passing.
TP: Good news. Give us more! Give us more!
Cartoon: Was it ever revoked?
Take care of yourself, TomCat. You usually have a bug in your system when you’re pooped so often and so long.
Thanks all. Hugs.
