I have a busy day, because WWWendy should arrive in about an hour to destink the sticky TomCat, and help with chores, including the dreaded task.  Last night I celebrated Cinco de Meow with a double portion of my infamous chili, and have sent green greetings to the Squatch.  WWWendy says Hi to all.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:41 (average 5:08).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (SNL Channel): Michael Cohen Wiretap Cold Open

It’s so close that it almost loses its humor. I agree with Stormy. RESIST!!

From YouTube (Parody Project Channel): DONNY BOY (Parody of Danny Boy)

His second parody video, released 9/15/2017. He really had the Fuhrer pegged! RESIST!!

From CNN: Former Vice President Joe Biden recently took a trip to Arizona to visit Sen. John McCain, who is battling brain cancer, and says McCain is "concerned about the state of the country," The New York Times reported Saturday.

Biden described the visit, which took place last Sunday, to the Times, saying, "John knows he’s in a very, very, very precarious situation, and yet he’s still concerned about the state of the country." Biden told the newspaper that he and McCain "talked about how our international reputation is being damaged and we talked about the need for people to stand up and speak out."

I agree with McCain, but to be fair, as McConJob, he opened the door for Trump when he chose Sarah Palin, aka Bloody Bullseye Barbie, aka Drill Baby Dingbat, as his running mate and brought the Republican extremist fringe into national prominence. Her sheeple became Trump’s deplorables. RESIST!!

Cartoon:

75 years when I made the cartoon, 81 years now.

  1. 4:51 Probably edible, based on the description. I wouldn’t have a clue whether it’s tasty.

If anyone wants to read the full transcript of the court hearing of last Friday in regard to Paul Manafort, it’s here. 48 pages and not as entertaining as Rachel (though it does have its moments), but it’s pure reality unfiltered through opinion.

SNL – I figured you would have this. My goodness, what a cast. Kate – Kate was unrecognizable and amazing! Who played Bornstein, does anyone know? OMG, I just found it, it was Martin Short!

PP – Another genius rewrite. He uses nothing but the best originals (part of me cringes that we are now to the point when such great musical works need to be put on the rack to call him out, but here we are), and works wonders with them.

CNN – A eulogy by Trump would briefly blame the death on Obama and Hillary, and the rest would be taken up with his bragging. To be fair the other way, we have run approximately 27% crazy forever, and not a lot can be done about that. The biggest problem is that the 27% consistently vote. We have to get sane people consistently voting too.

    Cartoon – Oh, the humanity!

  2. SNL: Gawd, this was fantastic!!! Yea, ‘a storm’s a-coming’!!! Suh-weet!!! Good cast, btw!

    PPC: Very well done!

CNN: Sad. Sounds like the time is drawing near ico Mr. McCain. Glad that he doesn’t want dt there, as he doesn’t know how to act out in public, and would have to sit in the children’s section. (no offense to children, as they’re smarter than he is.)

Cartoon: Scary time then, scary time(s) now!

Glad that all is going smoothly, HI Wendy! Hope that you have an enjoyable, relaxing evening, take good care, and Thanks, Tom.

  3. I have some upsetting news.  I received a series of text messages from Nameless, and he is in the Hospital.  He went in for severe shortness of breath and feels fine now, but they won’t let him go home.  They want to do an echo-cardiogram in the morning.  He requests prayers.

    I’ll keep you informed. 11

  4. ‘The uploader has not made this video available in your country.’Dang couldn’t watch the SNL vid, why isn’t it available in my country?!
But i did watch the clever & creative ‘The Parody Four’!

    • Animae, you might try going to YouTube and doing a search.  Often the same video is uploaded by more than one person, and there might be one that’s available in Oz.  If that doesn’t work, there is one other possibility but it’s cumbersome.

    • Animae, I have the same problem as SNL is not available in Canada.

  5. SNL: Wonderful job!
    PPC: Marvelous job!
CNN: If McCain chose Pail of Poop, he is indeed responsible for turning the corner into insanity, but I recall having red that she was foisted upon him by the brilliant GOPIG leadership, which would have been Boehner and  McTurtle, at the time.  But your mentioning of that ill fated pairing helps to put the craziness into a fuller context.  It’s like however, and by whomever, she was chosen, it put the GOP into full bore descent…right there, at that moment!  Ms. Bozo spoke directly to the hockey pucks in the national audience, and emboldened them, allowed them to think that they represented the country’s heart.
Let Nameless know that I am wishing him the best, please.

  6. SNL: How are you holding up in prison [Michael]? I’m not in prison! Give it a few weeks… Best Drumpf sketch yet! Is there any character Kate can’t play? (Grime should get an award too, of course).

PP: So well done; you’d almost forget the harsh reality of Don’s excellent re-writes of the text when the song is so beautifully executed.

NYT: Mustard after the meal (yeah, another one of those proverbs).

Cartoon: Be glad you didn’t have to replace the blimp with a nuclear rocket by now, TomCat.

Hi back to you WWWendy. Thank you for taking such good care of our stinky feline friend.

  7. Oh, the IN-humanity of our present regime!

  8. Thanks all.  Pooped Hugs! 19
