Yesterday I caught up with replying to comments and returning visits, which took up most of the day. Today is a holy day in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb. Sadly, the worship between the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders will not be televised here. Yesterday was a slow day for news that isnβt just a rehash of punditry.
Jig Zone Puzzle:
Today it took me 3:59 (average 4:30). To do it, click here. How did you do?
Short Take:
From Anchorage Daily News: A judge ruled Saturday that the Fairbanks North Star Borough must release personnel records of U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller…
…Among the documents being sought are details of Miller’s resignation from the borough job last year, and any disciplinary actions taken against him while employed.
This race is statistically a three way toss-up. Keep an eye on this because βpoll workersβ have illegally posted the spelling of Murkowskiβs name in polling booths.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
You gotta think that the Alaska election may er well be like Franken’s 2008 Minnesota one in the sense that it will not be decided until well into 2011.
And to be honest, while I’d love to see McAdams win, given Nate Silver’s, of 538, latest polling figures (Miller at 39%, Murkowski at 34% & McAdams at 26%) it’s not likely. I guess I’d rather have Murkowski than Miller.
I’ve been thinking the same thing. It may take months for dog sleds to carry the ballots to the capitol. I think Murkowski will come in last, despite her standing in the polls. Incorrectly spelled write-in ballots do not count. Most of those bright enough to spell her name are more likely to vote for McAdams. π
4:56 not even close π₯
You’ll do better next time. π
I need more practice. It is time to develop a training regime. I may not be able to beat you very often, but I think I should beat the average on a regular basis. But then again, I have been called delusional. After all, I am a liberal.
I got that puzzle to come together in 28 seconds – yep, TWENTY-EIGHT SECONDS! π‘
(OK, now I suppose both you and TC are going split hairs and say it’s not fair using the “Auto-Solve” option. But I say poppycock – I don’t see it that way.)
OH HELL! I can’t even beat you with autosolve. It took me 45 seconds. π
Geez!! π
Oh, this ought to be good! I can’t wait to see all the juicy details in Joe Miller’s files that he won’t tell anyone. That you FOIA! And two weeks before the vote – woo-hoo! π
Hopefully DADT will be dead as a door nail, never to be resurrected ever again, very soon! Damn you Holder – don’t you have anything better to do, like convict some Wall Street criminals???? π
I hear he just admitted that he was reprimanded.
