TTTT – I think Mueller actually does care about the country, and I think that Mike Pence is in this up to his neck. It has to be on his mind that if he moves too fast, Trump will pardon Pence, but if he moves too slow, we will be stuck with Pence.
Fox – I know Vicente Fox is neither a perfect person nor a perfect politician, but as to what he has to say, I just LOVE him (and that includes tweets). No, no one believes Bill “happens to know a grower just by chance.” Nor is he “asking for a friend.”
Anna Smith – She is a new name to me as well. I’ll see what I can find in a few days, after I get home and get my food inventory caught up. We need everyone we can get who can understand facts, and especially if they can – dare I say – preach them.
New Rules – I think that, in general, WOMEN don’t have any trouble telling fantasy from reality. Men, however, …. Trust me – every woman alive has fantasies that would be, and she knows would be, terrible in reality. That is likely to be what writers and artists are tapping into. But that’s FANTASY. I promise not to even THINK about projecting mine onto you without permission if you promise me the same. BTW, Tom Cruise the Scientologist makes me puke about as much as Ted Cruz does.
Here’s the irony. For most of my life, I have been very respectful toward and considerate of women. And I was a fairly attractive fellow in my day. But, if I had a nickel for every time I’ve been kicked to the curb, because a woman preferred a selfish “bad boy” type, we could buy matching yachts.

When you see someone raised in a fascist home, dragged to a fascist church, living in a fascist neighborhood with a fascist culture, you aren’t surprised if they grow up to be fascists. Why should gender have more power over programming than humanity does? Those women, and I have known many (including some who recovered, but generally not before they were forty or so), were raised to fit in to the culture of misogyny which is dominant. They were raised to prefer “alpha males.” They were raised to seek men like their fathers, and then to stand by those men. I got some of that too, not, fortunately, from my mother, but from other family. “Don’t be too intelligent or you’ll never get a man.” No explanation of why I would want a man who wanted me to be stupid. My mother did not deliberately politicize me, but I was politicized by her experiences as a widowed mother before I was out of high school. Most women, sadly, aren’t.
That explains it. In my youth, as an alpha male, women loved me. When I learned better, they shunned me. By the time they learned better, I had forgotten how.

Thanks for posting again, TomCat, and thank you for not only posting the funny ones. I like Bill’s mix of stand-up-comedian routines, serious interviews and the somewhere in-between ones with guests who also have a great sense of humour. This week’s was another great mix.
Bill is good as always. I especially enjoyed Vincente Fox and his sense of humour and his dislike of Drumpf, the resident sphincter in the WH.
