In order to demonstrate that there was a criminal conspiracy between Russia and Trump, including the Republican Reich, in the theft of the 2016 Presidential election, we must demonstrate the existence of quid pro quo. That means "This for that". Quid, in this case, is all the things Russia did to harm Hillary Clinton and help Donald Trump. Quo is for Trump and the Republican Reich to ignore the sanctions Obama imposed and Congress passed against Russia.
Three senior Democratic senators on Monday introduced a resolution pushing President Donald Trump to use the new authority over Russia sanctions that Congress overwhelmingly gave him last year.
The symbolic measure from Sens. Ben Cardin of Maryland, Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Robert Menendez of New Jersey marks the latest Democratic effort to pressure the Trump administration on its delay in implementing a bipartisan Russia sanctions bill — designed in part as a response to Moscow’s meddling in the 2016 election — that the president signed only reluctantly.
The administration’s decision last month to hold off on new penalties targeting the defense and intelligence sectors of President Vladimir Putin’s government infuriated Democrats, who pointed out that the bipartisan bill Congress approved with only five opposing votes last year had designed the sanctions as mandatory.
“The lack of seriousness shown by the administration in the face of a clear national security threat and even clearer congressional intent is alarming and cannot continue,” Cardin said in a statement on the resolution… [emphasis added]

Rachel Maddow explains how what Russia wants in return for infesting the White House with Trump is sanctions relief, and how the Trump Reich is giving Russia what Putin wants.
There it is! Quid pro quo quad erat demonstrandum. If election fraud by a foreign power is an act of war against the United States, and I think it is, then conspiracy with a foreign power to commit such an attack is treason. Even if it is not an act of war, conspiracy with a foreign power to commit such an attack is sedition. Both are impeachable and indictable offences.
RESIST THE REPUBLICAN REICH!!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
In case you are still having trouble wrapping your head around how the Repubs are now so buddy buddy with Russua after having spent the Cold War frothing at the mouth, remember that at that time Russia was “Communist.” Of caourse, that was in name only, and the word “Socialist” never applied to that government either. It was simply totalitarian. Now, it still is, but the words “Communist” and “Socialist” are no longer used. Seriously.
Unbelievable how Putin controls the WH, and the hole gets deeper and deeper from this Administration of what Russia wants and gets. Prison time, dt !!!
The GOPIGS love totalitarianism, if it serves their purposes! If they could crown this POS as king, they would, and party like it’s 1775!
Rachel: The tDump admin., and its GOPIG partners give not a damn for what they are required to do in regard to Russia. “The law is the deterrent,” is like saying that since there is a law against murder, etc., it is enough, there is no need to prosecute, because it is enough. tDump has never given a damn for what is considered legal, ethical, proper. He has screwed anyone unlucky enough to think that he/she can do business with him.
AMEN!!!
The Repooplicans will get buddy-buddy with anyone and any organization that sufficiently greases their dirty paws.
Treason is what sprung to my mind when Rachel mentioned Drumpf is deliberately ignoring implementing the mandatory sanctions against Russia and Mnuchin deliberately replacing the Russian oligarch list agencies had put together with the Forbes top 100 with some information from the Kremlin telephone directory thrown in. I’d have thought those acts would be treasonous in itself because it aids a foreign nation, even without its roots in Russia gate.
But it is worse than that, and your analysis is spot on, TomCat: Quid pro Quo. And it shows the depravity of this administration that they will continue with treasonous or seditious acts to fulfil their promise to a foreign agent while keeping none of those made to their own citizens.
It’s about time those US citizens gave Drumpf and his cronies their quid pro quo, isn’t it
Unfortunately, the Presidential oath of office has weasel words in it; ” to the best of my ability,” referring to the constitution.
It would be nice if we could tighten that up a bit, perhaps with a minimum standard of ability. I’m not sure how we would discern that though, before hand.
It is now obvious that the pretender-in-chief was not vetted as fully as he should have been before taking office.
Richard, google the “STABLE GENIUS Act.” It actually sets out standards and tests to be passed before a person may assume the Presidency. It’s such a long acronym I just can’t remember what all the letters stand for.
Drumpf likes to talk law and order, supporting the police etc. But he and his administration flaunt the laws, ignoring those that he does not like or that threaten to upend his cuddly relationship with Putin! Drumpf might say he is for the People, but this is yet another indication that he is not. Drumpf is only concerned with himself!
Thanks, hugs, and Amen to all
