It’s been another busy day. I have my groceries put away. I exchanged my sharps container. The 2 gal. size lasted about 18 months and cost me only $18.50 to exchange, including delivery. Wendy is not coming until tomorrow, because we wanted to spread my showers out. It only an 85° day today, but the humidity is 82%. I sure am a sticky kitty.

From Huffington Post: President Donald Trump suggested he will grant Joe Arpaio, the controversial former sheriff of Maricopa County in Arizona, a pardon for criminal contempt.
During a campaign-style rally in Phoenix on Tuesday, Trump signaled a pardon could come soon.
“I’ll make a prediction: I think he’s going to be just fine, OK?” Trump said. “But I won’t do it tonight because I don’t want to cause any controversy.”
The message was clear. Get convicted for terrorizing Latinos in violation of their civil rights, and you’ll get protection from the Republican Reich. RESIST!!

Keith # 110 – I’ve said this before, but Sater strikes me less as a potential witness than a potential defendant who is attempting to set up a flurry of gossip with the idea of contaminating potential jury pools. A to the poyential suddenness – yeah, it’s possible. Way too many things are possible. My biggest personal takeaway from this story at this moment is … RUBIO? Are you kidding me? Not that i can suggest anyone any better in the current Republican Party.
Maybe I should add I noticed today that one of the groups sending a nastygram to Trump (and they’ll add your name for a small donation) is now addressing that nastygram to Pence – slightly rewritten.

Keith Olbermann #110: Drumpf resigning all of a sudden; I don’t think that would work for America. Yes, the madness would stop for a while, until Republicans can pretend nothing has happened and go back to their usual corporate-driven business but this time without the resistance that Drumpf’s “presidency” conjured up. And the relationship with the rest of the world would normalize again, but the balance in power would never go back to what it was before Drumpf.
But Drumpf has torn America apart and has caused such deep rifts between groups that it has destabilized American society as a whole. And I don’t think Drumpf will resign without trying to cause even more discord between Americans, just out of spite. Only letting Mueller’s investigation run its course followed by Drumpf’s impeachment by his own party, hopefully also of Pence, whom Republicans have wanted in the White House all along, can prevent the wounds caused by Drumpf and the GOP from running even deeper.
MM: Sorry, I’m not familiar with the text of America’s National Anthem and didn’t know what the fuss was about, but after reading the text of the third verse Joanne has so kindly quoted, I do now. After this is all over and Drumpf, the GOP and the white supremacists have crawled back under the rock they came from, America has a lot of healing to do and that will take some serious cleaning up of national symbols including the National Anthem.
HP: Drumpf had already hinted that he’d pardon Arpaio as soon as Arpaio was convicted, but he didn’t do it then. He obviously wanted to save that gesture for this rally, or perhaps only the announcement of his intentions for his hard core audience, as he did now. What’s another broken promise, eh? All promises were made for effect only during his campaign, so why would this be any different. His base will continue to think he’s the greatest president ever, no matter how much he lies to them or screws them.

I haven’t been able to do any research or anything because my husband has had a biopsy on a place that has been on his face for 20 something years and they are gonna do the cancer surgery soon. I just had a squamous cell carcinoma removed from my scalp a few weeks ago using the Mohs Procedure. It was pretty easy, but that’s also a pretty easy location to work on.
Mohs removal has a 95%-99% cure rate for squamous cell cancers, so that’s reassuring to me.
