Yesterday I overslept and had a lot to do, but I still kept up with comments and returned visits.  I won’t be back to the blog until tomorrow, because today is my volunteer day with the therapy group, and I have errands afterwards.  Primaries dominated the news.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today it took me 4:23.  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Take:

From Alternet: The US government has said in a Louisiana court it is considering filing a civil complaint against BP under the Clean Water Act to claim 1,100 dollars for each barrel of oil spilled in the Gulf of Mexico.

If the US administration can prove BP engaged in gross negligence or willful misconduct leading up to the spill, the cost of each barrel spilled is tripled to 4,300 dollars.

The math seems a bit off here, because $1,100 X 3 = $3,300, not $4,300.  Nevertheless, it will be a pants-load of money.  For what are they waiting?

  1. No TC, it’s $1,100 for the first spill, and then treble (triple) damages ($1,100×3) for the gross negligence part on top of the $1,100. So actually, it’s $4,400. I know my Business Law. πŸ˜‰
