I have come down with the flu, but I still have to go out.  This is one meeting I cannot miss.  I will post this when I return, so you will know I made it OK.  I may or may not be writing tomorrow, depending on how I feel.  Hugs!!

I’m back safe.  Please pardon me while I go bury myself in my kitty box.

Today’s took me 3:38 (average 4:46).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

  1. So sorry to hear about your flu, TomCat. I can understand that you feel you had to go to your meeting –  I've been there more than once – but please take care of yourself even though you made it back OK. Burrying yourself in the kitty box may not be the best for you. 🙂 How about burrying deep under the covers of a warm bed with a hot coco. If you don't feel well tomorrow, stay there with plenty of fluids and some acetaminophen until your really feeling better.

Get better soon, but in your own time, dear friend.

Cartoon: That law of course doesn't hold for Republican death stars (Senate) and black holes (House) either.

  2. 5:32  Not moving fast enough this morning.

Oh, dear – the flu – just what you needed – NOT!  Sterile hugs to you.  Zinc helps me, but of course you know your own body best.

    • I just watched a clip of Rachel on YouTube, but I'll hold off on that unless TC tells me differently – but I also watched a Lakota Law commercial on DAPL and I will embed that.

  3. hope the flu goes easy on you…it can be a drag, take care of yourself first and foremost!

  4. As always, take w/e time you need to get better, good friend.

Since Trump hates it soooo much, I broke down and bought an online subscription to the New York Times – at half price: $7.50/mos.  Really nice NOT to have keep track of my 10/mos. allotment.

And in the meantime, we'll keep that banner flying for you:

    • My favorite newspaper.  I get it on Tuesdays for the Sciance Times, but lately have found that they are selling full page ads in it.  the first was by a so-called scientist complaining about not having had his paper published in a proper scientific journal. By the secon paragraph, I cpuld see that he was rather deluded.  the next one was in this week's paper, put out by Samsung chemical Coating Co., Ltd.  It is pure propaganda, proclaiming that globa warming is not related to man's activities, and that "…about the year 2060, The Ice Age will begin." Goebbels would be proud!

  5. Awww…..rest and take it easy, did I say REST? Please do, and try and stay hydrated too.

Best to you, Tom. Take good, good care!

  6. Puzzle — 3:21  Macaw palm plant with the wonderful thought of no Macaw fricassée for Puddy Tat today!

Cartoon — Republicans think they have put the spin on this one!

Puddy Tat, this bird would be too rich for you when you have the flu.  Dr Winnie says drink lots of plain water . . . it will not rust your pipes so drink! . . . and take Tylenol for the aches etc.  That should also help you get some sleep.

It was sunny today until about 1630 hours when it clouded over and started to rain.  That turned to snow . . . big fluffy flakes.  That did not last long, but now at 2300 hours, it is snowing again quite hard and it is sticking.  It really has been a weird winter weather wise.  And to think that spring is less than 2 weeks away.

    Resist and Persist!!!

  7. Having a "FREISTUNDE" after your meeting… lol. You need it!

We had hail the other day while driving around town. I was very surprised! Very rare and unusual!
