I find nothing "Fun" about this particular Friday, so I'll put up just a couple of graphics. I'm hopeful to put something together more joyful next week.
This is how our journey began eight years ago:
And now we’ve come to the end of a presidency the like of which not only us, but few Americans have ever witnessed. Not sure where I saw this drawing, but I think it captures how most of us feel. It was actually drawn by someone in Amsterdam, Netherlands – so it’s a universal sense of thankfulness for those eight years, and now a sense of great loss:
This is a sketched drawing (you can see the pad) I saw on Twitter, and it prompted me to dig a little deeper. This site has a little background informat.

Now that we’re burdened with #45, we can at least be thankful we had #44. So with all sincerity I hope you'll join me in saying, "Thank you, President Obama!"
Rest assured that we will continue to …

Thank you, Nameless. Great minds are still in the same ditch. Peace. But RESIST.
RESIST is the word for 2017! Let us rise up, organize, and raise hell!
Look like I was not paying any attention earlier this AM. I put my Rachel comments, videos in the wrong PP page. Before I put my comments in, to Nameless, kudos for the graphics above as I share the same sentiments. Obama is the most eloquent President I have had the pleasure of listening to over the years. I believe that Obama could have done much more if the GOP/Tea Party hadn't hamstrung, tied his hands and their party slogan of saying "NO" to him.
Rachel summed up very nicely from last nights broadcast on her show.
While we all mourn on this very bleak day that drumpf and his gop cohorts, billionaires, millionaires, corporations take over our beloved country, here are two videos from Rachel Maddow's Show last night. The first video surprised me. The second video is a lovely story of a woman's history to become a Supreme Court Justice.

"Obama is the most eloquent President I have had the pleasure of listening to over the years"
Truth be told, in some aspects, both Pres. Obama and Trump have similar effects on me:
When I read Obama's inspiring rhetoric, it often brought tears to my eyes.
Reading Trump’s words … I tend to weep uncontrollably.
Thanks for this Nameless, brilliant cartoons, they speak to all of us. I couldn't better your comment above,

Thanks Nameless for these images. A nation weeps! Many people around the globe weep!
Resist!!!
The cartoons typify how I feel with him leaving the WH, with his family. I feel a sense of loss, as if my best friend has moved away.
I cry alongside with many Americans, who are waking up now to the dumplethinskin and his cohorts and the end to our democracy as we know it. The tears and grief are real, and we must, every single day…RESIST!!!!
Thank you, President Obama for all you've done!
Get your hankies ready!

Amen. I could listen to him speak for hours.
Often you don't miss something or someone until it or the person is gone, but the 44th presidency and Obama were definitely exceptions to that rule: they were very much missed before they were gone. It was very clear what was to come and even after one day it's even more clear that it's worse than we'd imagined. So there's nothing left but to
RESIST!
