Lookin' good! The pain is understandable and hopefully it will go down each day before the next proceedure. Hang in there and above all else, be good to yourself! I lit a candle at church for you.
First, glad to see you got your gown on correctly and tied in the BACK! 😉
Were you awake at all for the procedure? Very doubtful, but sometimes for procedures involving neurological intervention they want the patient to be able to do some things (Look to your left; look to your right) to expose the nerve, etc.
Obviously set your pace, but I’m sure we’d all appreciate as many details as you feel comfortable providing.
(But feel free to NOT include any more grisly eye photos. I think I mentioned one time in the past that in my medical training I never had hypochondria or issues with any gory stuff … EXCEPT things involving the eye. Anything more than a corneal abrasion or foreign body, and I’d just as soon take a pass.)
I'm guessing you feel pretty awful, but things have to get better for you. Love, hugs, and many prayers are being sent your way. Hang in there, my friend.
I'm so sorry you're in so much pain, TomCat, and you knowing you'll have to go through it another time. But it's very soon and I'm sure next time the pain will lessen more quickly when the cap is removed from behind your eye.
Hold on and take it very, very easy. All you have to do after Friday is recover and get well again, taking all the time you need for that. Lynn's doing a marvelous job of holding the ford, as I'm sure the other authors will too, so no worries there.
Wow! TC in the flesh! Man, I hope the pain meds work better for you. Let them doctors know that the meds are not controlling your pain. Make them reassess you for pain meds. That might help.
Hey, Just You, good to see you! That looks rather painful but may it be worth it to be totally well.
Sending healing and hugs!
OMG! It's the "TC" himself… Awesome.
Not looking like a Happy Camper in his W/C…
More like a tired & growling Puddy Kat.
Hugzzz…
.
Hang in there, dear heart, four more days and Part Two will be over and you can start to heal in earnest. Many, many prayers coming your way.

May the healing be swift and sure.
Amen!

Hi, TC,
I was on a vacation, within a vacation, and just got to see this now…so I certainly hope the transport has arrived!
May the healing, indeed, be swift, and complete! And swift and complete…guessing you've had the second proceedure by now.
