Almost every week, Republicans join a competition to see who can say the most outlandish things, and in the process, they push the envelope on just how despicable InsaniTEA can become. I trust that you will believe it, when I tell you that last week was no exception.
Sterling public servant in Florida’s “inspirational message.”
Hours after the Orlando shooting, Florida Assistant State Attorney Kenneth Lewis found it appropriate to post this on Facebook:
“The entire city should be leveled. It is void of a single redeeming quality. It is a melting pot of 3rd world miscreants and ghetto thugs. It is void of culture. If you live down there you do it at your own risk and at your own peril. If you go down there after dark there is seriously something wrong with you.”
He was promptly suspended, apparently for violating the esteemed office’s social media policy, not for being an incredibly insensitive, dumb a**hole.
Notably, Lewis went to “sensitivity training” after a deeply offensive post two years ago on Mother’s Day, in which he suggested “crack hoes” should get their “tubes tied” and other warm and fuzzy thoughts he termed “inspirational.”
Might want to hire new sensitivity trainers.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Before I scroll through, I want to ask if any of you saw, or read, the talk that Utah''s Lt. gov., Spencer Cox, gave, in respnse to the Orlando massacre? There is a human!!!! This guy is trying to get to be Rumpy's VP!!! I believe it was Carrie who posted Cox' speech on C2.
It was, indeed, a most powerful, hearfelt and sincere public apology for his past homophobia. A template on how true apologies should be done!

Well, the rest are just second rate asses, compared to Lewis! Fox "experts" are expert at nothing but parroting the Fox Party Line! Palin is sadly so young to be so deeply into dementia, McCain is one of those people who remind me of the line from John Mellencamp's "Jack and Diane," that goes "Oh yeah, life goes on, long after the thrill of living has gone." Heraldo Rivera has not found wherever it is that his mind went after he found a great big void in what was it, Al Capone's secret treasure box?
"Oh yeah, life goes on, long after the thrill of living has gone." Spot on, Mitch! It could be the anthem of most GOPers, I think. The rest could adopt They’re Coming To Take Me Away by Napoleon XIV.
Sometimes silence is as despicable as horrid voices. I am most horrified by both presumptive nominees ignoring the FBI and the CIA to distort Orlando as having something to do with known terrorist groups requiring additional military action. This has meant few present it as an attack on LGBTQ or persons of color.
And sometimes “horrid voices” are more despicable than silence.
Please provide a citation documenting your claim that Hillary has distorted any FBI and/or CIA report to then be able to call for “additional military action” as a result of the tragedy in Orlando, since you said she “ignored the FBI and the CIA to distort Orlando as having something to do with known terrorist groups requiring additional military action”
(Please note that both Pres. Obama and the FBI have called the killings in Orlando an act of terror.)
In point of fact she rebuked and chastised Trump for his inflammatory rhetoric:

And in her very first statement she addressed the fact that it was an attack on the LGBT community, as noted by the gay magazine “The Advocate”:

1. TC covered McCain already, so I'll just make a remark about "great minds."
2. TC has been really on top of it – he covered Geraldo too. But there is this news item embedded in this story: "[S]ome of the injured and terrified victims did try to fight back. The gunman pulled out another easily acquired gun, laughed, and shot them some more."
3. Last year the governor of New Mexico was caught on tape drunk dialing. (Yes, that governor, who has been suggested as a suitable running mate for Donald Trump.) Sister Sarah does actually sound (read?) a lot like that experience.
4. Scott Baio? Is this an actual person?
5. Oh, good Gad, not Keith Ablow again. Ablow by name, Blow by nature. Apparently even Kilmeade thinks so.
6. Now, I know there are some really creepy elected (and appointed) state officials out there, but I think if an Assistant State Attorney in Colorado, say, called for leveling Boulder, say, that there would be some backlash. Can anyone tell us how this – person – even managed to pass the bar exam? Don't you have to be able to read and write?
1&2: No respect for the lives lost, nor for the families/their community/nation.
3. Sarah really needs to get off the sauce.
4.Ugh!! Scott Baio from Happy Days sitcom, late 70's. "The 55-year-old actor, who said he considers himself a conservative independent, added that he wants the former “Apprentice” star to go to Washington and “blow it up,” because he’s “fed up” with the Republicans and their lies. (We guess Trump’s lies are OK, though.)"

5. Ablow: Good retort Kilmeade, exactly.
6. Isn't that a terroristic threat? How do mean vile men get in office, get away saying stuff like this? The Mother's day comment is horrible.
Thanks, Tom.
Thanks, Pat. The only one ever on my radar was Henry Winkler. What a difference!
Given that Kenny Lewis, following his Mother's Day Greeting telling "crack hoes" to get their "tubes tied", was forced to take Sensitivity Training Classes, one would hope those classes came with some type of Warranty or Money-Back Guarantee.
Sensitivity training can be good, but no matter how good, it can't replace a soul transplant.
AMEN!!!!!
As any trainer will tell you, if there's nothing there to begin training with, it's all in vain. It's no use watering a barren dessert. If Lewis ever went in to have his sensitivity trained, which I doubt, it must have with been with a Republican trainer who just took the money instead of turning him away as a hopeless case.
All I can add is, if the best the Republicans have to offer, heaven help us.
This is the best they can offer us. And heaven will only help us if we VOTE.
All of them are so typically Republican to the worst degree!!! McConJob and Sister Sarah were meant for each other and are as looney as ever, Drumpf . . . well what can I say? He is a xenophobic, megamaniacal, narcissistic, misogynistic, racist sorry excuse for a human being. They all make me want to puke!
1&2. McCain and Rivera: Already said my piece when you, TomCat, covered them in your Open Thread.
3. Palin: Soon, very soon we will not hear another peep out of her when she's no longer able to function because of her delirium.
4. Baio: So that's the way it works. Drumpf starts off by insinuating Obama is a Muslim (sympathizer) and responsible for the Orlando shootings, then has it repeated almost to the letter by some washed out celebrity and then Drumpf can double down on it again because some other people are saying it, so it must be true. How transparent, how Republican and how dumb. Oh, sorry for repeating myself, these are all the same thing.
5. Ablow: He should take the hint when he needs to be introduced as a "professional doctor". Even at Faux News they think people will otherwise see him as the unhinged charlatan he really is.
6. Lewis: This man disguised as a human being is up there in my top 5 of all-time favorites with Californian Pastor Roger Jimenez who told his congregation he was upset that more people were not killed in the massacre. and preached to his flock that he wished the killer would have “finished the job.” Why is Lewis only suspended (again) and not fired? Don't tell me an Assistant State Attorney is elected to the job and can only be impeached? And where's the petition?
KOS:
1. McCain needs to retire, really retire ASAP. He obviously has "misspoken" his mind a bit too many times over the years.
2. Geraldo Rivera always did like to "sensationalize" whatever he investigates as news. This time, on covering Orlando, he has gone too far. But, then, he is doing what Faux Noise likes to do in its broadcasts. "LIE".
3. Sarah Palin is Palinsane! lol.
4. Scott Baio: A has-been heart throb of teens in the '70's needs to shut his mouth. His brain knowledge has done-gone to crap.
5. Dr. Keith Ablow: Is he rally a doctor… Where did he get his training, if any… A real pooper.
6. Florida Assistant State Attorney Kenneth Lewis: Lewis must be fired immediately. No amount of sensitivity training will ever help this jerk.
