I’m getting ready to leave for PT with Courtney. This is today’s only article, and I’ll finish it when I return. Last night I stayed up late, because I needed to do some scanning, and the scanner in my all-in-one color laser printer wouldn’t work. It turned out that my old printer software was incompatible with Windows 10, so I had to upgrade the software and completely reinstall the printer. It works fine now, but I’m very tired.
I’m back. I worked hard. I’m totally pooped!!

From Daily Kos: Oklahoma Highway Patrol began using a new device they have begun using called ERAD—Electronic Recovery and Access to Data machine. The device allows a law enforcement officer to scan any credit or ATM cards and seize any money connected with that card.
"We’re gonna look for different factors in the way that you’re acting,” Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lt. John Vincent said. “We’re gonna look for if there’s a difference in your story. If there’s someway that we can prove that you’re falsifying information to us about your business."
Troopers insist this isn’t just about seizing cash.

Okay, I'm going to do a "Yes, but…." Yes, authoritarianism is owned much more by hillary, but, those who will stick with Bernie beyond its having any pragmatic value, even when he has connected with Hillary's campaign, will only wind up hurting the very causes that Bernie champions.
This was a very good article, and yes, they are at peril if they either ignore or scoff at the uprising of voters.
I probably could have found a better term than cult, but I meant people who treat their politgical support more like a religion. For example, many of the same preople who used to say the Superdelegates are antidemocratic now say thyey should superceed the voters, and prople who trash discredited Republican souces that criticis Bernie now quopte those same sources as gospel when they go after Hillary.

Everyone who comments or writes on PP has class and knows how to disagree without being disagreeable. Of course, PP is not the only site out there. I have cringed over things Bernie supporters have said (I have complained here about some of that,) and I have felt flayed alive by things some Hillary supporters have said (OK, typed.). If you are here, you have class. Go first. I'll start. I supported Hillary in 2008, and cried after that convention. But tears buttter no parsnips (and oil no guns.) Hillary is now our best – our only – hope of keeping Drumpf and Megalamania out of the White House. I am ready to work for her as hard as I can.

As mentioned a few days ago, every vote matters. Barbara Boxer is retiring as Senator from CA, a progressive and my favorite senator. Her seat is open with 34 people vying for her seat. The primary process determines who will be on the Nov ballot. The two top vote go-getters were two Demos: Harris or Sanchez. "The next Senator from California will be a woman of color, no matter which Democrat wins."
"Either Sanchez or Harris would be the first woman of color to represent California in the Senate. November’s election will also mark the first time a Republican does not appear on the ballot for a statewide race."

As said earlier, there were other issues in the primary: Senator, Representatives and other political offices, issues for the State and County.
40 million people live in the State of California and less than 11% actually voted. Sigh. Pretty dismal. All the more reason that voting should take place on a weekend and made into a National Holiday. Not everyone is lucky enough to get the day off to vote. I also advocate that a law be passed requiring all citizens to vote as they do in other countries.

TC, I had the same problem with Windows 10, and my sound is stillnot working correctly. It definitely is not an improvement over Windows 8.

Youtube: Bernie gave a very classy speech. He will support Clinton, but he wants a more Progressive agenda at the convention. I think he won enough votes to deserve that. The war between the Bernie bots as one of my Clinton admirers call us, and the Clintonites needs to end now.

Yup, TomCat, you're going through the process, so very familiar to many of us, of using an application that you don't use every day and realizing after some time that it doesn't work under Windows 10. And if you use older devices, you may have a hard time finding new drivers or 10-proof software at all. And then Microsoft changes an interface of a program you use every day without warning, and it takes you about a day to get your PC version of Outlook working again, only to find out it is now completely out of your control and in the cloud under the watchful eye of the NSA… Sorry, that got away from me a bit

Yeah, we all know about those "hunches" police have these days, don't we. They don't have to prove anything, they can clean you out because they don't like your face and stopped you, they can take it all (?) without due process. YouTube: Bernie Sanders says in this speech that he has congratulated Hillary Clinton on her strong campaign and that he is looking forward to meeting with her and discuss how they can WORK TOGETHER to defeat Donald Trump. That is not just an indication but a very clear statement of Bernie's intent to work together; no two ways about it. He's clearly not giving up on his intent to reform the Democratic party in a party for all people, and I've come to expect no less of him. I hope Hillary will take the hand Bernie stretches out to her with this speech so that together they can restore unity in the party and send Drumpf to the dumps for good.

Sorry for coming in so late. I did a face plant on my keyboard yesterday and then again this afternoon. As to Windows 10, I have found it generally OK and I haven't had time to do a tutorial. I haven't allowed it on my desktop solely because I need to backup my pictures etc. Glad you're finding it OK . . . better than W8 eh?!
