Here are the results of our “Bernie: Campaign or Vision?” poll.  Politics Plus Polls are not scientific, because those who respond are not balanced according to demographic categories.   Therefore, we do not accurately reflect the makeup of the US population.  Nevertheless, our polls are usually factually accurate, and more often than not, they reflect thinking or will of the national majority.

I voted for Bernie’s vision.  While I consider Bernie’s campaign very important also, I don’t think it’s quite as important, because Bernie’s vision of Democratic Socialism can survive without him.

The new poll concerns the meltdown in the Clown Car Destruction Derby.  Get in the habit.  VOTE!!

  1. Although I'm not sure from my comment, I must've gone with both.

  2. Thanks, Tom.

  3. I voted both.  While I agree with you on the vision being more important as it could survive without Bernie, I don't see anyone yet stepping up to the plate.  Lizzie is capable and leading on some reforms etc, but she is not enough.

  4. I voted both.  While his vision could survive, I doubt Hillary will carry it through.

  5. Bernie's vision is all important, but a vision will remain just that, a vision, if other Democrats do not share it and are willing to work towards implementing this vision. Even if Bernie gets the nomination – and that is still a possibility – and then makes it into the White House, he'll be unable to change anything without the support of likeminded Democrats in Congress like Elizabeth Warren. He needs much more of them to be able to fulfill any of his problems; Obama's 8 year long fight has made that very clear. So his vision, carried by many, is most important of all and will survive his campaign if it falters, because he, Liz and others will carry on pushing his visions in Congress for the millions of people who identify with it.

  6. Thanks all.  Lona, even if Bernie wins, it won;t matter, unless that grass roots vision remains strong and active.

  7. I voted both. Hmmm. Here's hoping the movement stays strong and viable.
